Very Great But has Some Flaws

Great case for iPod 5 I am very happy with it protects it with my rugged use.
Some Miner Flaws- Not very dust resistant have to clean it out often very annoying.
Mine broke not bad at all just the back screen protector and a small crack. But they gave me a knew one so its all good.
Great things to note- There little Hand Strap is very useful (so happy they put it on the OtterBox)
The Case is very tight to the iPod for very little slippage.
I would suggest this Case to any one with an iPod 5

The 5g Defender is a amazing cover. It run and lift with my IPod in my pocket so weight is a factor for me and the Defender is the lightest case I have ever tried. The weight belies the sturdiness of the defender and bumps, drops, slams and bangs are soften to the point of no impacr to the device. A great buy at the price.

I bought this case to protect my iPod because I have large hands and found myself prone to dropping the new smaller iPod. I think partly due to it's size and partly due to it's slippery feel. Both of which this case has taken care of, it feels much more secure in my hands now with this case. If you have big hands or just find the iPod too slippery without a case this is the case for you.

i received this case as a late birthday present from a very good friend i was happy with the case until realizing that the lightning connector port only accommodates the apple lightning connector and not third party cables that i was very disappointed about as well as the screen protector is slightly raised from the ipods screen other than that this case is excellent for the price

Cons: ports are to small, screen protector slightly raised

Our first otterbox had a little problem with it. We contacted customer service, and after a couple of pictures, they sent out a new one!!! It's the best for protection for our Ipod!!!

I had gotten an OtterBox for my iPad quite recently, and it was great, performing well, good quality, etc., so I though that it was completely logical to get one for my new iPod touch. Boy was I surprised. I love the protection, as I am a bit careless, so it has weathered the hurricane pretty well. The design is pretty good, but I did have an issue while playing graphics intensive games and my ipod would heat up, which would melt the glue holding the memory foam to the inner back plastic. But the big issue I have is quality. I had had it for about three months, and the outside rubber (why didn't they use the same silicone that I have on the iPad case?) was seriously wearing away, and the port flaps were seriously eaten down. The plastic covering the screen never actually fit completely to the screen, little rainbow things of moisture appeared. But the thing that made up for that was the customer service. They were very prompt, and sent me a new case for no money and the shipping was THREE DAYS before they thought. I would have gotten the Lifeproof fre, but I saw an unboxing, and apparently, the cover isn't reusable, so I was swayed by the otterbox. I would probably recommend this to another person.

Cons: Low quality, Not durable

Great protection! & Retains Touch Sensitivity

The Otterbox for the iPod 5 is superb. It is easy to install and provides excellent protection. (If you have any installation questions, youtube has installation videos that are very helpful.)
Of special note, the screen protector on the front gives excellent touch sensitivity. When using the touch screen with the Otterbox, my iPod immediately and always senses my touch and responds exactly as it should. The Otterbox front cover that protects the screen does not interfere with the touch response in the least.
With the Otterbox case, I feel secure knowing my iPod 5 is well protected should I drop it, and I like knowing that the screen sensitivity/reactivity is not affected by the Otterbox.
Thanks for a great product. I regularly recommend Otterbox to friends and family.
