Thanks for the heads-up on the disappointing experience you've had with the Defender Series Case for the iPod touch. Although it's a tight fit for that lanyard to attach, you definitely should be able to thread it through. The issue of diminished touchscreen sensitivity is something that should be able to be resolved either by reinstalling the device into the front portion of the case first, or we can definitely help with a brand-new warranty replacement if that doesn't do the trick.
