The Reps were very friendly, explained the product very well, took the time to explain to my satisfaction. the installation instructions were very easy to follow and the XP430 Its so easy to operate. I'm a happy customer, from the first call, placing the order. installing the printer and using it. so thanks for making my life a little easier.

This is my 3rd Epson Printer. Not due to any fault of Epson. I love them! They are awesome printers. I recommend them to everyone. I have used all of mine frequently. I have owned 3 for 3 crazy resonds. -1. I moved away and forgot my 1st one. 2. I lent it to a friend who needed it for a home business emergency and she ended up asking me if she could buy it - I let her keep it, because I had it forever and she loved it. All it ever needed was ink. 3. I just bought my 3rd one because even though I am retired, we live in a computer world and I randomly need to print things out. I love the print quality and clarity on pictures. I've never had a bad experience with any of my printers. I have loved them and used them for both bussiness and personal reasons.. Also, the Wi/Fi is so easy to set-up. Epson has never let me down.

XP-430 Scanning etc

Based on many many user reviews and so on, With MUCH trepidation I purchased this machine to replace my very old Workforce 30 which was working PERFECTLY.
The installation of the printer/scanner was nowhere NEAR the ease everyone else says! I have been trying to get the thing to scan after the INSANE installation process!! I should have known better! I was NOT born with a computer in my hand and am over seventy. So I do NOT understand tech stuff. After over four hours of futility I have given up! I am boxing it up and taking it back for a refund!! I can't find anyone anywhere to help me and your HELP screens are baffling to say the least!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SET UP WIFI AND AIRPRINT. HAVE TO RE ENTER PASSWORD EVERY TIME I TURN IT ON.

Not User Friendly for non techies

If you are tech savvy, skip this review! It will just be a waste of your time.
If you are old fashioned, join me in my rant and demand simplicity & ease of use in something as basic as a printer.
My rant:
I was totally unable to figure out how to use this product. The plug was hidden under a sliding door & not obvious looking at the back of printer. The diagrams/instructions are obscure. They & the guide were useless. Only through the help of a rep was I able to get the printer going & then the paper slipped each time I tried to print & cut off 1/4 of the info. The symbols for stop & go are NOT HELPFUL! I PREFER A SIMPLE NON COMPUTERIZED PRINTER which has clearly marked instructions instead of a screen where you have to remember all the procedures & symbols. OK, arrows, Home, symbols for stop & go. None of this is intuitive to someone like me. When I downloaded the CD nothing happened to show me what to do I finally clicked on "video" (which was not indicated to do, but listed on the side) to be told to update flash player. I went in circles at first, going back to the download page as directed in the second screen, looking for instructions to appear.
I managed to print a copy after the rep changed the directions of where to place the paper for the 3rd time. I need a flashlight to read the symbols as well as to insert the ink cartridges. Why can't printers be the way they used to be? I have used Epson printers for YEARS & only needed to press "on, off, print, scan, stop," etc. And it DIDN'T TAKE 4 minutes to initiate the ink cartridges! For someone who is not tech savvy and does not possess a geek mind (which my son is blessed with so I am not putting geeks down: Geeks Rule!) this is all COUNTERINTUITIVE AND intimidating. I don't like feeling stupid and helpless - and this computerization of printers seems totally unnecessary. There were no alternatives at the store & I would gladly pay more for the simplicity & ease of use that I have enjoyed for so long.
