[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this fridge 3 weeks ago. We originally bought a larger LG smart view french door unit with a bunch of bells and whistles. However, when they delivered it, they could not remove one of the doors in order to get it into the house. The instructions for door removal did not match the fridge we bought. (Yes, we did measure ahead of time). So back it went and we opted for this smaller fridge without the smart view door.
Positives This fridge works pretty well. It is very quiet. Both ice makers work well, we have a lot of ice. Very happy with dual ice makers. Keeps food cold.
Negatives The glide n serve drawer could be taller. It could use more light. The only light is from above. The filter takes up a lot of room on top shelf. We had to buy an extra door shelf. (cost around 9 dollars). Door alarm should be adjustable. It gives you 30 seconds before it goes off. (Or you can just turn it off).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently purchased this refrigerator from Yingst Appliances in Vista CA. We have only had it for a couple of weeks, no problems yet, knock-on-wood. This replaced a Samsung refrigerator that we only had for five years. After four separate service calls the last couple of years, we parted ways with the Samsung. It’s kind of sad that appliances that are this expensive, only last a few years. Fingers are crossed for a better experience with another cell phone manufacturer producing a major appliance. Will definitely keep everyone posted.

Nice looking, but the ice maker is useless

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this two and a half years ago; of course, we no longer have a warranty. When I unclog the perpetually clogged ice maker, it's good for a maximum of two days before it had to be unclogged all over again. I give up! I will never buy another LG. Also, a disclaimer: I can't post this without entering the stupid sweepstakes first.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst icemaker ever

We've had this refriterator for a couple of years and have had nothing but problems with the icemaker. Two visits from the repair man and still jams every couple of days. The freezes up in the discharge chute and blocks any discharge through the door. It then becomes extemely difficult to remove the ice bin to clear the jam because the frozen chunk stuck in the discharge chute extends up into the bin. Very poor design. I would never recommend this refrigerator to anyone

Most Expensive Mistake I've Made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The finish started peeling very quickly around the edges and the water/ice dispenser. We treat our appliances very gently, not using any cleansers or abrasive materials on it. I can barely even wipe the fridge now or the finish continues to disintegrate. I am very disappointed that I bought the refrigerator, dishwasher, oven and microwave and I am watching them fall apart daily.
