When I found out that my 8 year old GE side by side was on its last legs I began researching new units. I looked online and in numerous stores, and I kept coming back to this LG unit. It's even better than I expected (and I expected a lot). Has more room than my old unit, even though it's listed as marginally smaller. Keeps everything uniformly cold and frozen. Access is easy. The unit is quiet, and it looks great too.
