Its is a nice looking and spacious refrigerator. But the cooling mechanisms are not good. Which I have found is the biggest complaint with linear. It quit cooling all together after a few short years. No one in our city works with LG warranties. Very frustrating.

Problems after a few years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a few years the compressor and condenser went out. 6 months after the compressor was replaced the fridge stopped cooling again. Another compressor and control panel and still not working.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Less than 2 years old and the unit continues to give us problems. The first time the compressor went out and had to be replaced. Needless to say we lost everything in both the refrigerator and freezer. Now once again the freezer is not working and again we lost a lot of food. In addition when the freezer stopped, the ice maker stopped making ice. Service call(warranty coverage) is still 2 weeks away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the look and the features of this fridge, it's been a good fridge up to this point. However, after only a little over two years the compressor went out. I had to throw everything in the freezer away because it had completely thawed out. I was definitely disappointed, but fortunately LG did cover the repair even beyond the manufacturers warranty. Good customer service is very important to me when making any purchase of substantial value, so I give them credit for that.

They had to replace the the compressor. It took about an hour. There was no charge even though it is 3-1/2 years old. Now it is working fine, a month later.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my LG LFX25973D refrigerator for several years now. I like the top double doors and the large bin inside. The freezer is much more convenient on the bottom. Mostly I like the double ice makers, however I have had some issues with both ice makers. Recently I had to have the compressor replaced because the freezer was not freezing properly. LG came right out to fix the problem, and everything was covered under the 10 year warranty.
