Don't Buy - Needs new motor within 3 months

This dryer is not even 3 months old and has developed a new, loud humming sound that was not there before. Today the service man came out and said we need a new motor. Seems like this dryer is a lemon.

This product is just ok

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel this dryer is not energy efficient due to the fact that my clothes always are too dry, almost hot, even when I select less dry setting. Also, the alert buzzer that lets you know that the clothes are dry has a volume control that does not work. No matter whether you select lo or high volume, the buzzer makes the same volume of sound to let you know the clothes are dry. I was trying to save money when I bought this model, however, I feel in the long run it will cost me more on my gas bill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dissappointment for a GE product

This was such a disappointment. Wish I had my old GE dryer back. Very very noisy. It sounds like parts are clanking around and nothing I ever expected from a GE product. I know they don't make a lot of their products any more so why put their name on it? Yes I had it checked and was told this is the product.

Wonderful dryer!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer is great. It is very quiet, very efficient and has a sensor that works. You can count on your clothes being as dry as what you select. The wrinkle free setting that tumbles your clothes occasionally until you take them out is very handy.

A must have machine

This dryer gets the job done!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dyer has all the features I was looking for, sensor and easy care cycle. I like the wrinkle guard and the option to time the dry. It is also very easy to use in your routine laundry tasks, while having the options for extra ordinary laundry needs. I also like the feel of the drum. I have notice that our clothes are not damaged much with this dryer. The only flaw I see is the flimsy door. As long as you use the door handle to open and close, it is not a problem. I was use to just grabbing the corner of the door on my previous dryer. When I continued with that bad habit, it felt like the door might bend. I have since learned to only use the door handle and it has been fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We did a fair amount of research before deciding on this make and model.
We like the controls, and especially the inside drum light. We also wanted one that had the lint screen inside the dryer door and not out the top.
The only concern I have IS the lint trap. It is a real flimsy piece of plastic that I don't expect will last very long and is harder to clean that the screen mesh we had in our old model.
Other than that, it works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!
