Installation problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Operation is fine, installation was difficult, the gas pipe is too short, had to be added on to for a fitting. The power line in the dryer is too short to get over the vent pipe when left side venting. This was a couple day project to fabricate parts to install this dryer. If the pipe was an inch longer and the cord 4 inches longer it would have been fairly easy to install.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A perfect simple dryer with dryness sensor

I wanted a simple dryer with manual controls and a dryness sensor, and this is exactly it. I was replacing a Hotpoint (also GE) with similar analog controls and wanted something similar . This dryer has the same narrower width but an extra cubic foot of interior capacity, plus the dryness sensor. I did a conversion to LP and it works beautifully.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dryer does a good job drying in a shorter time than my old model. Has many different time and temp options,however the sensor dry leaves jeans damp around the waist, and the buzzer is really loud.

Simple to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife chose this model because it has all of the features she needs without any of the fancier doodads that can go wrong. The more features something has the greater the risk that it will require repairs. We purchased the GE matching washer. While the washing time is about 15 minutes longer than on the older washer she used, the drying time is about 10 minutes less and our clothes come out dryer than what they use to.
I would recommend this to a friend!
