Ice maker cracked by itself.

as soon as my warranty expired, my ice maker cracked and broke! what a smart way of engineering ice maker out of thin plastic material.

i have been using this refrigerator for the past 11 months and i love it, , i love the ice maker -it can make crushed ice and cubed as well and it does have a child lock. i recommend this product

Ice maker problems

ker problemsi bought our cafe refrigeratorin 2015 and loved it for a short while. that all changed when we began a journey with the ice maker. we have had at least a dozen visits, 3 replacement ice makers, new drains and everything associated with the ice maker. in dec2019 after the 3rd new one it began working for about 10 months and then began to drip water from the ice maker into the ice chute and inside the left door. i resolved this by moving it into the garage and disconnecting the ice maker. to say i'm disapponited is an understatement. i bought new whirlpool to replacement. im done with samsung ! incidentally our son has one as well with the same ice assembly and it doesn't work either. ours is model rf263beaeww

Ice Maker Is Trash

unit is 2 1/2 yrs old. ice maker had to be replaced within the 1st month. was told if was defective. now 2nd ice maker has frozen up. of course no warranty now.

DO NOT BUY-Ice Maker Has Issues Freezing&Leaking

this was an expensive fridge that started having issues with the ice maker after 5 years. like many others online have reported (with similar models) the ice cube maker leaks water and freezes in areas that block new ice cubes from being made, until you scrape the ice away.
this leaked water is also getting into the fridge, below the bottom drink shelf, and is leaking onto the floor.
there is a proposed class action lawsuit that is gaining backing for people who have had similar issues

Decent fridge but ice maker has known issues

I purchased this fridge 5 years ago and had been a decent appliance except that the ice maker has known issues and started to freeze over and leak water onto the floor.
To Samsung's credit, they are replacing the ice maker for free, despite the fridge being well outside the 1yr manufacturer warranty

thedon't buy this refrigerator if you like to keep it clean or need shelves on the door that actually hold something. you need a tool box and two people to get the glass out of the bottom shelf. and the glass on the other shelves doesn't come out, so get ready to shove something in between the glass and the plastic, then get what you can with the sprayer on your sink. the shelves on the ice maker side are shaped like and l and the long side of that l is about a inch wide so it is useless (got a cream cheese in it, but it was tight.

have to dethaw the ice maker so often, that i turned off the ice maker all together and started using ice bags. it's a common issue with this model and brand.
