water leaks from ice maker into fridge

leaking water from ice make into fridge as soon as warranty passed. Everything replaced. Spent 100's of dollars on a problem that obviously cant be fixed due to poor design!!! Also, ice make freezes up about once a month, along with the massive leaking into the meat tray of the fridge. I have figured out that I can use a blow dryer and defrost the ice maker to make it work again for a short time until it happens again. Piece of Junk! Also bought a Samsun washer that the entire side blew out during the spin cycle!!! Less than a month old. Samsung, you should stick to making TV's. You do well with that.

Love the look, full of design flaws

I love the look of this fridge, but after two years of ownership I can say it's not a quality product and I cannot wait for the day when I can get rid of it. If you like cubed ice, forget about it. No matter what the control is set for, no matter how you try and adjust the ice bin, you're going to get a mix of both cubed and crushed ice no matter what. It also pushes the ice out of the bin very slowly. The ice maker itself tends to completely ice up every couple of months thus having to be defrosted with a hair dryer before it will start making ice again. And speaking of defrosting, the drain line that is supposed to carry the defrost water down to the bottom of the fridge ices up thus forcing all of the defrost water to collect underneath the deli tray. Hope you won't mind cleaning up that mess periodically. The rollers on the deli try are pretty flimsy so when you do pull out the deli tray it tends to go all wonky and get stuck. Several people online have complained about a noisy compressor and a loud banding sound, but fortunately we haven't had that issue. Is it just a matter of time? Who knows. But what I do know is that I would not recommend this fridge and will probably never purchase another Samsung appliance based on my experience with this fridge.

Awesome fridge

Well I was looking at this fridge for months and finally bought about a month ago and must say I love it. Spacious, the LED light, the alarm if door stays open notice veggies and deli stay younger fresh then with previous fridge I highly recommend this Samsung refrigerator

Poor quality ice marker

The worst refrigerator I have owned. The ice marker doesn’t work for more then a week and you have to take it apart and use your hairdryer to defrost it . Will not buy Samsung kitchen appliances in the future .

Icemaker functions very poorly

While we love the refrigerator, the ice-maker is a nightmare. It spits ice chips onto the floor and creates crushed ice even when we ask for cubes. We've had another brand ice-maker but this one is awful.
Pros: french door design is great.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, see icemaker review

Defective from the beginning

We've had this refrigerator now for 1 year, 9 months, and twice we've had to call for service. The first time, there was a defective circuit board that caused the ice auger to stop working. That was within the first year, so it was covered by the warranty. Now we're having a problem with the entire refrigerator not cooling adequately. The ice maker is covered with frost, ice is accumulating on the insides, and the ice is wet. Even though we have the refrigerator set on 34 degrees, drinks are not cold enough. I just paid a service guy for a service call, and he says it's probably something with the Digital Inverter Compressor, which is still under warranty. It seems that these units are made to break down, and I would never again buy a Samsung.

Freezer and water puddling issues

We moved into our house 3 years ago and bought this refrigerator new in the Fall of 2014. The first issues arose about 12-15 months later and it's been a battle ever since. I'm not submitting anything new here if you read any of the other poor reviews. The ice maker freezes up and water puddles under the deli draw at the bottom. I'm actually going to cancel my repairman from coming this week because I now realize there is NOTHING I can do.
A few other issues: I've noticed mold in between the french doors. The touch screen is sometimes difficult to use when selecting between water, ice and crushed ice.
Sad. Time for a new refrigerator - not a Samsung though.
