I'VE USED DIRT DEVIL CLEANERS FOR LAST 5 YEARS. NEVER DISAPPOINTED. JUST PURCHASED STICK VACUUM FOR A NATIONAL HOME SHOPPING CHANNEL. NONE OF THAT HIGH PRICED "ROCKET" STUFF FOR ME. DIRT DEVIL, A NAME YOU CAN TRUST--ALWAYS.

I have used this product 2 times and I am returning it tomorrow. It does a decent job on the hard floors but you have to clean out the canister with your hands because they animal hair gets caught high in the canister area. Bought it with the hopes of not having to drag my large dyson up and down the stairs but the stair and upholstery tool does not work with the extension so you can't stand to clean the stairs. You basically have to crawl up the stairs on your knees to use it and the head swivels too easily. Great concept, love the idea of a dust mop / vacuum but needs to do more than just dust for $100. Would love it if the vacuum head worked w the extension!

I was so excited about finally getting a decent hardwood floor vacuum. It arrived and I couldn't wait to try it out. Within the first few minutes I knew right away this was horrible. I don't even know where to begin. I would have NEVER spent $130 on this. My $15 handvac worked better. Here is why. 1. I am only 5ft tall. The stick on the thing is so long I literally have to have my arm up to use it. Ouch. 2. The plastic parts from the canister have two little parts that stick out. It's constantly hitting me in the side. Ouch x 2. 3. The back of the thing doesn't have any covering. It gets HOT. The air that blows out of the back burns my skin on my wrist. Ouch again. 4. The thing doesn't pick up very well. I have solid hardwood floors and it takes two or three swipes to get the stuff off the floor. Mostly the cat litter in the bathroom. When you take it across the carpet area rugs, it grabs the ends and tears them apart. Apparently it sucks stuff up, just not what I want it to. 5. The inside of the canister has a small opening where the dirt comes in. It's located SO close to the actual plastic canister that everything gets stuck there and you have to put your finger in there to remove any hair or larger articles. Yuck. 6. On the stairs, you have to push down on the base to get it to stay in one direction. When you do that, it stops the brush rotation. It's constantly just throwing stuff out the backend to the stair below. 7. It works great on the couch. 8. In the car it does a good job, but again it gets SO hot it hurt. 9. Speaking of hot, did I say it gets HOT? I sweat when I vacuum. Ugh. 10. It does have a really long cord. yeah!

Bought this based on its design and features and a couple of reviews saying 'it works great on dog hair". I tested it out for about 10 minutes and found it to be totally worthless. First, the powered floor brush simply wrapped the dog hair around itself to the point the entire brush and nozzle was a solid pack of dog hair preventing anything from being vacuumed up. Next I found that nothing went into the actual dirt canister. It all got clogged up in the little vortex area. The vortex is what's supposed to make it bagless (separating the dirt from the exhaust air). This one doesn't work with dog hair, that's for sure! I carefully took the unit apart, cleaned it as well as I could, repacked it, and will take it back to store... pretending I never opened it. I usually don't do that sort of thing, but this was a total worthless ripooff.

Great suction for hardwood floors, and I like the dust cover. But: I can't believe there is no attachment for rugs or carpets, other than the stair cleaning accessory; cleaning the stairs is a challenge because the attachment head pivots too easily; the dust cup is very small; the crevice tool is a flimsy piece of plastic which shattered when I accidentally dropped it and the extension tube. Honestly if I hadn't gotten it for free as a giveaway on the Rachael Ray show, and had bought it myself, I would have returned it for the lack of a carpet cleaning attachment alone.

Very awkward to use because of the flexible hose near the end of the vacuum.Returned it after two days and had to pay return shipping even though I was supposed to be able to use it risk free. Don't waste your money or your time.
