Good at first

I would be a lot more happy with this purchase had the price not been as high as it was. It is a great product, but definitely not at the price point it is. I purchased it to match the rest of my kitchen and the finish is coming off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to Use and Beautiful Appearance

We bought this microwave as an accompaniment to the Café series range. We liked the idea of the convection oven feature for more versatility should we ever need it. The primary purpose was the basic microwave. The controls are not as intuitive as our prior GE microwave but it is easy to use once you familiarize yourself with the knob. I love the vent fan feature that is a huge improvement in lower sound over the prior model. The timer cooks frozen foods predictably and correctly. We are very please with this model.

Nice looking and works well. It makes a humming sound when operating, not sure if that's normal. I found the door handle does not match the quality of the microwave, I thought it would be stainless, but its not. Overall, I like the performance and look. A bit pricey.

First time I have had an over the range microwave. I like it a lot. The vent is powerful without being loud.

CVM1790SSSS Door Handle Peeling

I am very concerned with the handle issue. We purchased the CVM1790SSSS over the range model and the handle is being replaced this week. Warranty is up in 2 months. Does the defective design mean they will continue to replace the handle after the warranty? I would like some assurance or will have them replace the microwave this week with the latest model. Thanks

We've had this microwave for a few month now and are still learnin about all of the things it can do! Love it so far! Only negative comment would be that I wish the stainless finish was actual stainless or something that would hold up better as an overhad microwave. The finish is hard to clean and appears to have "bubbles" on it all the time.
