Good but controls complicated

Good product; controls are complicated, especially for those of us born around WW II. Popcorn button runs too short a time. But overall, good quality product.

Looks good, but issues

I purchased this appliance 4 years ago, last year it had to be replaced because the keyboard could not tolerate the heat generated from the stove below. After many tries and calls, I finally fond out that GE agreed there was a problem with the unit and had a program to replace it, which they did and I was extremey happy. Less than a year later the handle started to peel its stanless steel laminate...I called and a replacement piece was sent to me, but I had to do the install. This is a high end microwave, but it has many issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Handle design (Plastic) is poor. Have had one replaced because the over laminate peeled. Given that microwaves are frequently over stove tops, plastic may be a poor choice. It has a different appearance than the handles on the rest of our GE Cafe appliances.

My new Convection Microwave

I have not yet used all the features this model have to offer. But what I have used is great. It does take a little getting used to, not as easy as the spacesaver microwaves. Looking forward to discovering more about my Microwave.

This models control dial is much less suceptable to problems. The electronic panel
on my previous model needed replaced twice.
