We purchased this microwave in conjunction with a GE Cafe 5 burner gas range to replace old models as a part of our kitchen renovation. It was relative easy to install and it works perfectly!

Great microwave but wish that GE still made the stainless steel kit to go around it to fit a bigger space. When we bought this we could only find black plastic.

Great Microwave!

We bought this microwave almost a year ago and have no complaints. It works great! This was not our first choice but after several replacements of the other choice, we decided to try a different brand. We're sure glad that we did! Definitely will try other GE products in the future.

Somewhat disappointed

I am disappointed in the available features for the microwave. I would have liked more options, i.e.. for heating or reheating specific foods, etc. The microwave also seems to have less power. It takes a long time for reheating. The controls are awkward and clumsy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent microwave/convection oven

Bought this microwave oven in April when our old one finally died after 20 years of use. Installed it in the kitchen while we did a total remodel. The microwave works perfectly. Defrosting is perfect (does not cook the meat, even ground beef-thaws to red and juicy in minutes). The convection oven is quick to heat and bakes/roasts perfectly every time No need to heat a large oven for many baking applications. The controls are very intuive and easy to master. I was skeptical of the use of a dial, but it works flawlessly and easily. All microwave cooking s precise and accurate. Heating liquids is easy with a button you can hit for liquids of various amounts easily....no boil over or dangerous explosive boiling! The only downside of this oven is in the installation. The flange which connects to the vertical duct is pooly designed. It has a very short flange and does not interface with the duct boot very well. You must use high-quality metal tape to make sure you don't leak geasy air into the back of the microwave cabinet or duct chase. I don't know how this design compares with other brands, but this GE one is poorly designed and very flimsy with light metal that is easily deformed. GE engineers could certaily do better! Other than, this is a great microwave that is worth the rather premium price.

Great look and performance

I purchased this to put in my new kitchen. Since I purchased the Cafe Series stove I felt like I needed to purchase the microwave to match the stove. I am extremely pleased with the way it looks as well as it functions. I love the dial vs the buttons for timing. I use it daily and so far it has performed beautifully.
