Plastic Handle Will Melt

Very disappointed to receive this microwave and instantly realize the handle is made of cheap plastic. Considering this is an over the range microwave, I think we all know what happens when plastic meets heat. The entire front panel seems to be a plastic with a layer of stainless veneer over top. I'm returning this microwave and disappointed because the rest of my appliances are GE Cafe and this is just not the same level of quality. Back to the drawing board...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this microwave to match the oven. I do not do much cooking in it, more reheating. I am disappointed that the microwave gets warm when I use the burners on the stove. Maybe it needs more insulation.

I like everything about this except the control pad. I'm not crazy about the dial or all of the words. It could be sleeker.

Thius was oen of eth only microwaves that would fit above our stove without harming our backspach. The only problem I see with it is teh handle. it is plastic and although we have not experienced any melting problems we would have preferreda metal handle as it is over the stove.
I would recommend this to a friend!

REPLACED OUR CURRENT ATANDALONE GE WITH THIS CONVECTION MICROWAVE - WILL NEVER TURN BACK - GE APPLIANCES ARE AS GOOD AS THEY ALWAYS HAVE BEEN.

Be cautious, not getting a higher end microwave

We have had the microwave for a bit over a year and the handle (plastic with chrome color) covering is flaking off. For a higher end microwave the handle is made poorly and is cheap plastic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought the entire Café series for our kitchen several months ago. The microwave is a solid appliance. We haven't had any issues or complaints.
