We are so excited about this product we will now be able to cook more food during the holidays. The product is easy to manipulate and it does not look like a futuristic machine. Good product save your money and buy.

We bought this oven as part of an appliance package for our new home build project and use it to complement our GE Café series gas range. We love it. We use it primarily as a convection oven. As it is an over the range oven and we have small children, our countertop microwave is more convenient for the kids to use. Prior to purchasing, I was concerned about the complaints regarding the handle "peeling." We have had the oven for eight months and have no issues. Yes it is pricey, but given that it is essentially three ovens in one (standard, convection, microwave) it seems like there is good value here. We use it in lieu of our gas range for smaller meals and when we don't want to heat up the whole kitchen. It does seem like it takes a while to preheat but I believe that to be a product of the fact that it is electric.

Bought April 2015. Manufacture sticker says built jam 2015. Door handle is tin foil over plastic. When I went to claim manufacture warrantee. They said unit is over s year old. Had too jump through hoops for repaid. Produce receipts pictures of serials etc. the receipt should be enough.

This is the 2nd GE Cafe microwave we've had and like all of the features this one has to offer. We haven't tried the convection yet but plan to soon. The only complaint we have i that it's a little loud compared to the 1st one we had.

Works fine, but cheap handle

We "upgraded" our appliances to the GE cafe when we bought the house. It hasn't been 2 years yet and the handle (which is plastic wrapped around with a fake silver wrap) is peeling off. My husband peeled off the section that was hanging off so that we wouldn't cut ourselves on it.

Corrections to my "Intuitive" Review and Update
on February 6, 2016

My Cafe series microwave is still highly recommended by me but I realized I'm using the wrong terminology. It is a "convection" oven (not conduction) capable of browning meat which a regular microwave can't do. Even though the convection feature is supposed to shorten cooking time, I didn't find it shaved enough cooking time with adequate browning for my chicken legs. Preferred to go back to using my GE Profile oven for meats. With that said, it is a breeze to use the popcorn setting, and reheat setting for platters of all sizes. The micro-express button is very convenient too and can be adjusted for time and power changes. When summer temps heat up my kitchen, I may find the convection roast feature preferable to firing up my oven in the stove.

Bring back the virtues of my older GE microwave.

I replaced an older GE over-the-stove microwave with the new model believing I should upgrade to a convection microwave. In my opinion the older unit was better in several ways. First, the door on the new unit is, in comparison, very hard to open. Secondly, I preferred the older model 1-0 keypad as it was quicker to go from door shut to cooking than the knob and push controls of the new unit. The new unit installed is a replacement to the new unit I purchased as the original new unit buzzed loudly when it wasn't in use. GE stood good on replacing the original faulty unit but the time and effort to install a unit and then have to reinstall it was disappointing.

POOR Quality Door handle

Very disappointed to find that the door handle is not stainless steel but plastic. The handle has started to peel and it looks terrible. I would not recommend this product to anyone since the handle will end up peeling and the look of Stainless Steel will be gone. I spent time researching the product but no where did I find this fact. I wish I would have known. I wend with all Cafe Series Stainless steel because of quality but microwave left me disappointed.
