don't have an answer for what I value most

thedon't buy this refrigerator if you like to keep it clean or need shelves on the door that actually hold something. you need a tool box and two people to get the glass out of the bottom shelf. and the glass on the other shelves doesn't come out, so get ready to shove something in between the glass and the plastic, then get what you can with the sprayer on your sink. the shelves on the ice maker side are shaped like and l and the long side of that l is about a inch wide so it is useless (got a cream cheese in it, but it was tight.

have to dethaw the ice maker so often, that i turned off the ice maker all together and started using ice bags. it's a common issue with this model and brand.

Ice/frost build up

the refrigerator worked great for almost 2 years. the past year and a half i have been battling with the ice maker always having ice/frost build up. i have to clear out the fridge to defrost everything and have a working ice maker for about 2 months and then back at it again. also now it is not cooling like it use to and the motor is making a weird sound. people warned me and i didn't listen. i just hope samsung will be helpful when i call. please people steer away of this model, i saw a news clip of people having issues.

Love the fridge

i love the french doors and the bottom freezer. however, the instruction manual is hard to follow. to remove the bottom cooling pantry you need to remove at least the left, bottom door bin and for easiest removal both bottom door bins. the left door bins are very hard to remove.
the only issue i have had is after 3 years the fridge lost it's freon. it has a very small, slow leak. in attempting to reach a samsung authorized repair person i found the only ones in my area have terrible reviews. i went with a different company with good reviews. i don't know if samsung needs to better trian their repair people or maybe keep track of their work better but in my area they need better service.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ice maker causing problems

bought the fridge in fall of 2017. everything worked fine until spring of 2022 when we started noticing water leaking near the ice maker. it turns out there was ice build up.
called in a repairman and he said this is a known issue and samsung fridges are not reliable. the work around is to manually defrost the ice maker or remove the ice build yourself weekly. three days later, the problem returned. looks like we'll have to turn off the ice maker and look for a new fridge.
very disappointed since we thought samsung made reliable appliances. looking at whirlpool brands now.

Ice Machine is frozen over every 2 weeks

ice maker is horrible

ice maker design is horrible. if i had known this before we bought the fridge we would have went with something else. i have tried to defrost manually and then restart everything but that was only temporary relief. it then quit again. the other day it sounded like a woodpecker starting in there. i have since unplugged the wiring for the ice maker as i am tired of hearing that and the beeping to manually defrost.
