Never again.

I bought this Samsung fridge about eight years ago. Ice maker always freezes up. Never worked right. Class action? Plastic bins/ shelves on doors are breaking. Now the internal fan freezes up and makes terrible noises. I've defrosted it a number of times but it continues to happen. I'm done with Samsung refrigerators.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this fridge in 2016. The only initial complaint was the loud bang when the ice would fall into the bin. To go back to those simple times! Next, water started pooling under the deli bin. Samsung tech came out, emptied the fridge and removed the panel to find a wall of ice. He removed it and replaced a sensor. Then, the ice make started to freeze up. We had to constantly defrost it to get ice. THEN, the fridge started freezing everything inside. Not the freezer, the fridge. It was also reading an incorrect temperature. Replaced the sensor, AGAIN all for the compressor to go less than 12 hours later ON CHRISTMAS EVE. Repairman came out again and got it working but said it could go out in a day or in ten years, couldn’t guarantee anything. Guess what, it didn’t last an hour! Tired of pouring money into this expensive closet. That’s all it’s good for, just holding stuff. Just purchased an LG fridge. Counting down the days until we’re free if this hunk of junk. Samsung has lost another customer. Their refusal to stand behind their shotty appliances should make future buyers beware.

Poor quality/does not last

The refrigerator is less than 6 years old and it has stopped maintaining proper temp. In the last two years I’ve had to replace the ice maker, I’ve had to defrost the old and new ice maker about every two months, and I have even had to defrost the ice build up from the inside of the refrigerator twice. I am also having problems with the microwave, dishwasher, and stove that was all purchased as a set. I will not ever buy a Samsung product appliance again

Food freezing in fridge

For two weeks now, the refrigerator has been freezing our food. First I cleaned it out and made sure the temp was on the highest setting. No fix. I made sure no internal vents were blocked and moved all food away from walls of fridge. There is no ice forming on any vents inside. No fix. I removed the metal grate on back of fridge and vacuumed/cleaned the vent and coils after researching how to safely do so. Still no fix. An entire gallon of milk is frozen solid. I do not have the money to have someone come repair and I have no idea what to do at this point.

BEAUTIFUL FRIDGE

I bought 3 Samsung major appliances at once so I have been getting to know the features/manuals of each and have waited to write my reviews. I am starting with this one beacause it is my favorite! :) First, this fridge is beautiful. I have no other words for it. I chose this model over the one with the exterior counter height drawer (which is what I had originally wanted). After spending an hour at the store opening and closing and measuring (LOL), I realized that this one simply had more door storage and we did not want to give that up. The pantry drawer is awesome. Holds EVERYTHING that I need it to and we have yet to fill it up. The fold aside shelf is perfect as we always have at least 1 bottle of wine chilling. I am able to put an entire airbake cookie sheet on one shelf to cool cookies, which is amazing and made my holiday baking that much easier. The ice maker is fast and not as noisy as my prevoius fridge (WPG Conquest). The water is COLD and it does not drip. IF you follow the instructions and dispense a few pitchers of water it will remove the air pockets and you will have no dripping. There is a place for everything and this is NOT a small fridge (even thought the specs state that it is 3 cubic feet smaller than the one we replaced). We will probably never fill it completely. The freezer space matches that. HUGE. And a turkey will fit in the bottom without crowding, as will frozen pizzas, so I was very happy about that. A gallon of milk fits in the door, but I like it on a shelf inside on the right(part of the above shelf folds away to allow ease of milk storage). No problem with finger prints or dents as the handles allow for all opening and beg to be touched. Nothing else to add except that I have my hubby's word that we will be buying this for the next house too! We both are amazed that we could like an appliance this much! Buy with confidence!

Loved until the water puddles started

We love the design and room and it worked great until the warranty ran out then the problem started. There is a big puddle of wAter under the crisper drawer I have to take a big bath towel every week to clean it out. Also when you get ice water comes pouring out first. If you look online many people having same problem but Samsung will not fix it. After paying several thousand you would hope it would be better quality. Several family members are looking for a new fridge I will be sharing our experience.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

A correctly leveled refrigerator is not level from front to back. Refrigerators are designed to tilt back slightly, which helps the doors to close by themselves and helps with draining, and prevents water puddles. This will help close the door automatically and prevent the other door from opening.
