Faulty materials

First of all we owened a lot of Samsung products over the years and were always highly satisfied by the quality. Few years back upgraded our TV by purchasing LED from Samsung. To say that we were not happy with the purchase is to not say anything. As soon as the warranty ran out things started to fail. Repair will cost more than buying a new TV.... Nevertheless, stayed loyal with a brand and Purchased this refrigerator less than 2 years. We were sold by the beautiful design and all the features that this refrigerator has to offer. Now we already replaced multiple bins and rails inside the fridge as plastic material that is used doesn't withhold daily wear. Luckily we can still get replacement parts online but it adds to the cost and frustration. I think this is our last Samsung purchase.....
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible Quality

This refrigerator is terrible. It was one of the few available that fit my space, but it has been awful. It is literally falling apart. I have replaced the plastic cover to the shelf already, and now it is broken again, as is the shelf itself, so I will have to purchase a new shelf and cover. The handle to the freezer broke off, so I had to replace that as well. For the price, it really should hold up better. Very disappointed and will never buy samsung appliances again. Stick to TV’s when purchasing samsung products.

the ice maker freezes, and it must be thawed with a hair dryer frequently. now the fan is making a horrible noise. this has been ongoing for 2 years!

it is noisy, freezer door does not close properly, and the water pitcher leaks all over the place even after a replacement. would not purchase again.

BIG DISSAPPOINTMENT

unfortunately this was the biggest let down. purchased this fridge 51/2 years ago, but the ice machine started giving us trouble more than 2 years ago. we have to repair leaks, icemaker (still not working). our dishwasher hasnt worked in over a year and the repair guy said that they dont have the part. made the mistake and bought samsung washer and dryer. this time i made sure to get the monthly warranty. i will never buy their products again. crossing my fingers that the stove and microwave dont go out!!!

Be Aware of how to clean this fridge exterior!!

We had a 29 cubic foot Samsung French Door in a house we just sold and really liked it. Moved and decided to get a smaller version. Glad we did. It is just as easy to use and performance is just as good, at least so far.
One issue I have is not with the fridge but with Samsung. I cleaned the exterior just like the older fridge that was made from stainless. This one is not and the stainless cleaner doesn't work at all and left a mess no matter what I did.
This time there was no owner's manual with it so I made a trip to the appliance center to be told we now have to go online to get the manual. Just found time to get online to download the manual and discovered using stainless cleaner will erase the letters on the digital display and is not to be used at all! That might have been useful information in the beginning!!! Use only mild detergent and water, drying with a soft cloth. Nice change but, really, what is wrong with including a written manual or making sure customers know about such a big change?
Cons: no written manual, don't use stainless cleaner

Ice maker stops all the time. Water leaks from the dispenser. Mold found between the ice maker and the dispenser shoot. Very expensive filter cartridges.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
