Excellent Appliance Upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far this stove has been working very well in our household. This is the first range we've had with a convection bake option, and we've been using it quite a bit. There have been a few dishes that we've found it doesn't work as good for, but with most others it has helped to provide a more even temperature during baking and prevent the bottom of the pan from being burnt before the top is even warm -- a welcome change to be sure.
The top burners put off quite a bit more heat than our old stove, and the middle burner has been very useful -- either when used as a griddle or heating large soup kettles.
We are happy with our purchase.

Burn myself weekly

I had my last one for 39 yrs but it only had 2 functioning burners and the Oven hasn't worked for a few months. So I went out and bought the newest model of the same brand, hoping I would get the same satisfaction. I love the storage drawer underneath for the gas model, and gave me extra storage space. However the oven controls are not easy to adjust once set. You have to turn off the oven and then restart to get a lower or higher temperature. Seems crazy to have to do that. The location of these controls also makes it difficult when you are cooking a large Jenna and have pots on the stove

Good Features/Needs Some Improvement

I have always had a gas stove. This is my second gas stove with disk technology. You have improved the control of shooting flames from under the pot; which was a problem when disk burners were first introduced. However, the location of the disk burners with specific features were obviously determined by someone who does not cook. The medium size boil should be in front not in the back. The most used. Plus, steam ruins wood cabinets and the microwave above when place in the back. Example, making soup....lifting the pot an issue when in back. The very large disk is only used when using a lobster type pot. Otherwise too big. The small simmer burner in the back is really useless. Can do the same by lowering the flame on the medium/smaller size burner disk. Had this on my previous stove. Never used. When using Bake there really isn't a dead center rack location. Never know which rack location to use. Determines cook time. Varies depending on what cooking not size of pan. Dead center you automatically know when to lower rack. A top burner griddle would be so much easier to use and clean than the replacement rack.

I bought this range about one month ago. So far I'm not that happy with it. The black top is difficult to keep clean, it shows everything. Also we discovered a gas leak in the oven and are awaiting for it to be exchanged. Used the probe in a roast and did everything the instructions said to and it was undercooked. I am a young senior citizen and find the oven controls confusing and don't understand the convection part at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
