Loving it overall

My husband loves gas ranges so when we moved into a new home he made sure we bought this one, mainly because he loves the elongated burner in the middle. Like all gas ranges it's taken a little getting used to for me, I've found that the rear quick boil doesn't seem to really boil as quickly as I'd like but the front right quick boil is maybe too hot. I'm still trying to figure out baking with the regular oven vs convection oven. Cookies seem to turn out better with regular baking; they have a crisper bottom and gooey top with convection. Overall I am really enjoying this range and for someone already used to cooking/baking with gas I think they'll really like this one. If you're new to gas ranges give yourself some time to learn how to use it correctly. One of the best features to me is that this range is very easy to clean!

The range came as part our appliance package. It works very well and has some really nice features like the temperature probe and the griddle

Pretty in My New Kitchen

This is a very pretty stove. It came with my new home so I wasn't the one to pick it out. I like the center grill feature and the stove and oven are easy to use. It requires cleaning after each use to keep it looking great as the black range deck shows every spot, drop or spill. But, I'm used to plain white appliances - this is a big step up for me. My one complaint is that three weeks into use (and we cook at home every night), a smell similar to diesel fuel is still coming off the stove when any of the burners are turned on. I suspect it's some kind of coating on the gridwork that is causing this smell. I hope it goes away soon.

Hey marydat, I also switched to pretty shiny black from white and can understand the frustrations with cleaning you are experiencing. A couple of questions about the diesel fuel smell, is your range running on propane or natural gas? Have you done any floor finishing lately (some oils hang around in the air and will combine with the gas and create an unusual smell)? Albuquerque has areas that are at a higher altitude and can affect the mix of gas and air, this can produce different odors depending on the type of gas. And finally, Marydat, I would advise to call the gas company, just to make sure the orifices are set to the correct gas and pressure, and that there is not a leak. Exceptional cooking times

We bought it about a month ago and since we cook alot of Gumbo, the large 5th burner allows us to cook a large pot to feed the members of American veterans Post 38
