Spent a lot of time researching what refrigerator to buy. Narrowed it down to this model and one from LG. I am so glad I chose this one. Absolutely met my needs and more. I am a professional chef and very demanding. Storage is huge and very flexible in usage. Temperature is so even and well maintained I couldn't ask for more. The showcase door is a hit in the household as it gives easy access to frequently used items and snacks. Freezer is huge well lit and accessible.
Only have the one ice maker, but have yet to exhaust its capacity. Have friends with the slim in the door and it is constantly out of ice and they have to use their second one in the freezer. Other issue with that type of set up is the loss of storage in the freezer.
Lighting is superb, information center and thru-the-door dispenser, and lift-up freezer open handle are all commented on by many friends who have seen it. Another big compliment is the flip-up shelf that allows easy storage of tall items. All who see it wish they had it in their refrigerators.
Installation was quick, easy and the installers pointed out all pertinent information.

GREAT DESIGN AND I LOVE THAT I CAN CHANGE MY SHELVES WITH EASY BY JUST FLIPPING UP AND DOWN. GREAT FOR LARGE ITEMS. SO MUCH ROOM WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FILL ALL THE WAY.

Worst Ice dispenser ever

I make protein shakes everyday and use crushed ice. I end up with more ice on the floor then in cup. It needs some thing around Ice dispenser to keep ice from flying out the side. The only one that likes it is my dog because she gets to eat all the ice on the floor.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is not the experience we want you to have. Place a glass underneath the ice dispenser and push gently against the dispenser lever with your glass. Ensure the glass is in line with the dispenser to prevent the ice from bouncing out.

Happy with this refrigerator

I searched a lot before buying this refrigerator, and yes, there was a few not so good reviews about it, but I couldn't resist the design and gave it a chance. I don't regret at all... I LOVE it!!! Not only for its beauty, but for the space, for the way the shelves and draws are, how the LED lights makes it so nice when we open the doors. While my family and I were at the store, my daughter really wanted the 3dr door. Well.. I though the 3rd door was going to be useless, but my daughter was completely right about her arguments... It truly make life easier in the morning since I store all my breakfast items at the showcase door! Really Cool! Easy and not wasting energy by opening the double doors wen we just need milk, jam and eggs!
I have to admit the One thing bugged. During the first month I had to keep a towel on the bottom of the water dispenser because the pressure of the water would make a spill when filling up a glass. But later I understood that the filter was new and as we used the pressure got easier and we didn't have to worry about drying the dispenser anymore! So now I am 100% satisfied and happy with this awesome refrigerator!!!

I'm glad I switched to Samsung's refrigerator/freezer

I was hesitant to select the 3-door model as I was used to my old side-by-side refrigerator/freezer. As I've grown accustomed to the "showcase" door and the lower freezer drawer, I am thrilled with both and do not long for the previous model.
Initially there was a growing pain with temperature fluctuations between parts of the refrigerator. I am fanatical about temperature control and kept 2 wireless thermometers running in different parts of the top portion. I found that milk needed to be stored to the rear, away from the showcase door or it would not last. I have no kids and am used to buying milk weekly.
The ice cube maker dispenses smaller cubes than I am accustomed to and the "crushed" option easily spews chips and snow outward, just a learning curve for this user.
The compressor makes noise as it cycles through different stages which seems like an avoidable design flaw, or perhaps it is unique to certain units.
It is definitely a design glitch that even when both doors are wide open, the lower crispers and deli-drawer are a challenge to open and remove.
With time I have found a configuration of the customizable shelf heights to work very well for this customer. Even some of the quirky shelf shapes around the Icemaker and showcase door have found suitable food product applications that work well.
I wish that the temperature display on the outside of the door acted as a thermometer and accurately represented the inside temperature instead of an arbitrary, relative setting.
Overall I am happy with my choice of refrigerators and would select Samsung again.

Quiet and Keeps Food cold/frozen

We had to replace our old refrigerator when it suddenly died. Once the new Samsung was installed, we realized that that our old unit was woefully inefficient. The design allows for easy access to the food and the design is pleasing. The food is kept at the desired cold temperature.
Would definitely recommend this appliance.

Size Excellent - Finish Poor

This is an excellent refrigerator with really good interior space. The shelves and space on the doors are well spaced and easy to access. It was NOT inexpensive and I expected top line for everything. My complaints are 1) doors are hard to close. They have to be pushed or you may leave one open by mistake. They are closed enough to prevent the "door open" alarm from ringing, but are not closed all they way; 2)The finish is so annoying. It shows every touch. I thought by now all stainless appliances were using the newer finishes that don't show every finger touch.
I have had the fridge less than a week and I hope to adapt to the door issue and figure out how to stop wiping the surface every time I use it.
Pros: Bright display, good interior arrangement
Cons: finish shows every finger touch, doors are hard to shut
I would recommend this to a friend!
