Terrible ice maker

We have had this model for about 4 years and have found that the ice maker is the absolute worst part of this refrigerator. The milky-colored ice I can live with but the auger that moves the ice from the bin breaks most of the whole pieces into little chunks so you end up with half pieces, chips, and a few whole cubes. That is only 1 problem with the ice service. The other major concern is the slow speed at which the ice is dispensed. Clink, rrrrr, clink, rrrrr, clink, etc., it takes about a minute to fill a pint glass.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Really bad Ice Maker

ice maker unit does not produce ice, the unit does not defrost the system making ice keeps accumulating in the resistance, and blocking the system, it is a really bad unit that i would not recommend

Will never buy a Samsung again

the icemaker repeatedly freezes up and stops working. have spent lots of money out of pocket to have it "repaired" and still have issues.

i bought this fridge years ago, and i've hated it since the day i bought it. my biggest complaint is the ice maker. it is the slowest ice maker and it takes forever to get a piece of ice, and the cubes come out almost one-by-one. our friends own the same exact fridge ironically, and they too have the same complaint so it's not just us. the water is just as bad. i have to fill up my son's water bottle for school and sports and i feel like i'm standing at the fridge for an eternity to get water. even just a cup of water to make coffee. now my flapper on the door is broke so i jumped on here and was shocked to see they still make this piece of crap. we won't buy a samsung fridge again. they got good tv's.....just not refrigerators.

Nice refrigerator eith a major flaw

the ice maker is constantly freezing over. you have to take a hair dryer to it to thaw it out and then reset it. it happens every 2 to 3 months. when it does work the ice is soft.

Bought Samsung 28 cubic foot French door refrigerator. The design is terrible ice makers are faulty and broke in the first 3 months. Trying to get service is time consuming being bounced from retail store to over seas representatives who merely read from script. The final straw is the refrigerator completely died and now have had no frig for over one month. I also had to throw away my freezer items and frig items since it spoiled.
