Very quiet and spacious

This is a very quiet refrigerator . It has plenty of space and with the second ice maker entertaining with out buying ice at the store. Plenty of room for everything.

It is so quite I can barely hear the motor sound too.

replaced a side by side with this french door model. much easier to access food set up went great. Ice maker just does keep up during these hot months, and it is a little noisey. temp stays constant and everything works well. have had it for about 2 mo. now.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, easy access, constant temp
Cons: not a lot of ice

Great Fridge, but ice?

We like our new fridge so far but our two complaints are the ice maker not producing much ice and the freezer door not opening far enough to work with. We use an Ice Tea Maker that calls for 3qts of ice and we empty our ice maker which is not convenient at all. We had a Samsung fridge before this, a much less expensive version that we almost bought again, and it made a lot more ice than this one. The bottom freezer feature would be nicer if it had more organizational components too. Coming from a side-by-side freezer, this one is very crowded and we often have to dig for things. Plus the door itself does not pull out far enough to easily access the top drawer.
For the price, the look and extra features, like the showcase door, the fridge is great. But I think this one was rushed out of the design room a little too soon.
Pros: Bright display, showcase door
Cons: low capacity ice maker

Thanks for the feedback! The Ice Master ice maker in this model is designed to produce up to 10 lbs of ice per day, though the bucket can hold only 4.2 lbs. It may help in your situation to empty the ice bucket into a secondary container as it fills to maximize the amount of ice that will actually be produced on a daily basis. Dispensing ice regularly will also help to prevent it from piling up in one spot inside the bucket which may cause it to stop producing because it "thinks" the bucket is full.

With regard to the freezer drawer, the main compartment should be able to pull out 17-5/16". If yours isn't pulling out that far you may just need to pull it more firmly until the rails are thoroughly lubricated. The upper freezer drawer should pull out automatically when the main drawer is opened. If it doesn't it may not be installed correctly.

I hope these suggestions help you get the most out of your RF28HDEDBSR!

I was very happy to receive a new refrigerator after my 8 year old GE quit working, however, once the elation of finally having the luxury of refrigeration ended, I quickly noticed that this refrigerator has a VERY LOUD noticeable deep hum when it is running, I don't believe it is the fan, likely the compressor. I have ensured the unit is level as well.
I can hear this through the wall shared with the garage. Yes the deep hum permeates the wall, and i can hear it in the garage.
I am almost embarrassed to have visitors over because the noise is so significant and disrupting, my previous refrigerator (RIP) was not even in the same league when it comes to how much noise the appliance produced.
Sadly I think people will have a poor impression of Samsung refrigerators when they visit my home because this noise is very noticeable.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, loud
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

DO NOT purchase a Samsung Refrigrator!

They finally exchanged my refrigerator (RFG297HDRS French Door 29 cu ft) I purchased in late November 2013, with this refrigerator last week.
The reason I received the exchange was because it was SO loud! I accepted this refrigerator that was smaller, and not as nice; but it was the newer model. This model is LOUDER… then the last one. I do not understand how my Samsung dish washer is so quite, but they cannot make a refrigerator that is quiet… For the price you pay, you would think it would be a good quality product from day one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This refrigerator has special meaning due to the relief for my disabled husband's pain! Having the freezer on the bottom has allowed us to revive our life cooking.....we compared and found the Samsung met all our dreams and the features we wanted plus great reviews! I agree and am very happy with this product and the service at the store and delivery. Thanks to all of the people who helped us.
