Ice maker keeps freezing up

I like this fridge except the ice maker keeps freezing up. It is so annoying and I've only had it a little over a year. Way to expensive to have these issues.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality, ice maker freezes
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Product

This is yet another great product put out by Samsung. The test design to collapse or slide under is a great idea and adds more useable space. That lighting is also well designed in the sense that youy can search anywhere in the fridge and see up, down, behind and above.
My only beef with the design is the door storage. The right door is fine but the left door cab use some more R&D... there is storage but I'm finding that it's minimal to utilize. Maybe small condiments...I don't know.
The freezer is nice too. I have to get used to bending down to get frozen foods; I've had side - by - side my entire life... but it's certainly NOTa con. Adequate space.

This is a great refrigerator

We have had this fridge for a few weeks and have loved it. We have so much more room in the fridge compared to our other side by side. The freezer drawer is great also with so much room. So far we do not have any complaints.

water /ice dispenser and shelving

I don't like how the the water function goes automatically back to ice function, should be able to prioritize ,there is wasted shelve space on the bottoms of each door not huge but could have been for little things

This product has been disappointing.

Getting food in and out of the top drawer in bottom freezer is challenging and limited by design. I often have to open the fridge doors to access those items. Also the ice maker is very slow and very loud. It has been giving us trouble with build up of frozen solid water which keeps it from making ice and also has been making mold issues.
Pros: less expensive than competitors for similar featur
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product but not perfect

We have only owned our RF28HDEDBSR refrigerator a short while but love it so far. The biggest aggravation was removing the plastic protective film from all of the surfaces. This film was tucked under finished edges so that I had to use a knife to cut off all the pieces that did not come out during removal. No matter how carefully I tried little plastic pieces remained. The left door storage areas are so small that they are almost useless. The remaining shelves and door pockets are perfect with flexible shelf location and shelves that hinge up or slide back to make room for larger items. The machine is a little noisy during cooling cycles with sort of a low rumble sound but is acceptable. The important thing is that the temperature control seems to be awesome. I have installed a remote temperature monitoring system and the temperatures only vary a few degrees throughout the day. When you touch the door controls it will display your setpoint temperatures for the fridge and freezer. I wish you could also see a display for actual temperatures as well. The Stainless finish is very easy to wipe down to maintain a brilliant appearance. We have other Stainless products that require a lot of work to get a streak free appearance, this fridge is easy to maintain.
Pros: stainless finish is bright and easy to clean.
Cons: left door storage is too small.

LOVE THE LOOK

Love the refrigerator , only thing I would change is vertical space. There's not always room to stand everything up. But love the extra's and space provided overall.
