Will need repair in less than a year

samsung has some major flaws in their water systems causing back unit to freeze which makes fan thump for a few days then die.

Ice Master Very Poor Quality

have to thaw icemaker biweekly or no ice. it started after 1 year of use. also, need to make cleaning easier. hard to remove bottom shelf glass & bins. keeps stuff cold. outside door is nice.

Dont buy this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] within a year we had issues with the ice maker freezing up. thats been happening weekly and we had to defrost it with a hair dryer. until it stopped making ice altogether. its not even 5 years old

Terrible ice maker

Ice maker freezes up and leaks water

I have been experiencing an issue that appears to be a common from the reviews. The ice maker will freeze over and stop making ice. Now water is collecting under the bottom drawer and is leaking out of the fridge on to the hardwood floors. The only way I have been able to prevent this issue is by shutting off the ice maker completely. Obviously that is not a real solution.

Design Flaw

i normally don't write reviews but after waiting 2 1/2 hours on the phone with samsung i thought i would share my experience. i bought this unit back in jan 2019, was delivered a month later and roughly 7 months after that the ice machine started freezing. i thawed it out and for the next 8 months or so i am de-thawing it every 2 weeks on average. i finally call to have a service rep come out and it is out of warranty. so now i have a fridge that is worth less then the one it replaced (its ice maker still works and its over 10 years old). in a nutshell my business can go elsewhere from now on. this is a known error and many people have this problem, in other words a fatal design flaw that they keep shipping to customers.

Worked well and then 2 big problems...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] worked well for a while then two big product defects surfaced: refrigerator section fans start making alot of noise then the refrigerator section stops cooling all together - spoiled food and dairy products! the other problem is the ice maker freezes up and stops making ice. get your ice breaking tools out to knock off chunks of ice that have formed and block the icemaker from working. multiple appliance repair orders and it still has these problems,

Frozen

disappointed with this unit which i purchased in oct 2015. about 2 years in it started making loud noises. tech from company i bought it from found the back coils were frozen inside the fridge. thawed. this has happed 2 times since then and based on how long it takes it will likely strike again soon. this week though i found the inside temp to be 30 degrees despite being set at 44. my warranty is up so now i have to start paying to keep it running.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
