Not only is the sound quality excellent, but also acts an A/V switcher between sources. Much better than having a separate subwoofer on the floor and a sound bar mounted on a wall. Would purchase again without hesitation.

This speaker system will make your TV sound come alive. It is a transformation in quality when compared to the speakers inside the TV cabinet. Very easy set up and all coordinated with the Sony 32" TV I also purchased. Many, many ways to tweek the sound to your individual liking. It is also built to a very high quality.

Expands sound from thin LED/Plasma TVs

Definitely expands the sounds from the increasing trend of pale sound from thinner LED/Plasma TV's. There are a number of options for "flavors" of sound, and have not mastered them … frankly they are a little confusing. Bass is fine, and balance is fine. Sometimes there is a good stereo signal that reflects well with this box. Ours has a 48" LED TV on top, and you can see the box bend in the middle. That aside, it's a distinct improvement in sound … even if there is yet ANOTHER remote to now consider.

Packs a Punch!

Great sound, superb remote control. Also syncs well with my Dish DVR remote. I had an Onkyo sound system with built in subwoofer and it was a poor performer with a poor remote. This beats Onkyo hands down.

I got the Sony Home Theater System HTXT1 after considering the Bose sound base. I found the Sony system not only had better sound quality but also more features and it cost less. A win win situation for me.

If you are looking for an all in one solution to improve the sound coming from your TV, then look no further. The sound quality is comparable to more expensive systems without the extra set of speakers and subwoofer. There are 3 HDMI jacks on the back of the unit that enable playback from various devices like a DVD player, Apple TV, or computer. The sound can be customized for sports, movies, and music. Overall, a very versatile and well designed sound bar for the money.
