First of all installation is a walk in the park. It took no more than five minutes to not only connect the sound-bar to our HD TV but to the cable box, DVD players, and laptop computer. We elected not to get the separate surround sound speakers and base but its nice to know we can add them later if we feel the need, but so far the system sounds great without them. The integration with TV eliminated the to use the remote, but its nice to have just in case. Overall we love the sound quality increase from the HDTV speakers.

My wife and I moved to a smaller home and had to downsize. As a result, I had to give up my Home theater system (80" Projection with 5.1 surround) for a very small TV (32") in a small AV cabinet. What is a guy to do? I picked up an HTXT1 in hopes that I could get at least a better sound quality than the TV speakers. The HTXT1 performs admirably for its size. I am very impressed. It is very easy to use and definitely improves the sound for my viewing and listening experience. The bluetooth function works wonderfully with my tablet and smart phone. I still miss my home theater but I am very happy with the HTXT1. For such a small form factor, it carries and great punch. Thanks Sony.

Clarity of sound is great

My wife would strain to catch all the dialog while watching Downton Abby, now those English accents come through clearly. It's not just about volume it is about hearing smaller tones as well.

This is perfect for a bedroom. A little challenging to navigate settings from the slide remote but it can be done. The already rich 2.1 sound has surprising bass from the 2 bottom firing speakers.. With the 2 small built in subs, you won't need to place a wireless sub elsewhere.

I bought this instead of the Bose Solo. The Bose has excellent sound, but the Sony does also. You can adjust many different sound levels (voice, etc). It also has a night setting. It was also cheaper than the Bose. I would buy this again.

Had the choice to put the tv on top of it or put it on the bookshelf right next to the tv. I put it on the bookshelf and put some other things on top of it which made the whole installation very flexible and the sound is great.

Perfect Sound Bar

This sound bar is the perfect accessory for my 70" Sony TV. It really makes the sound pop. Dialogue is much more clear and I love the night feature. My only peeve is that the remote also turns on my Sony 7.2 Receiver. I guess I have too many toys.
