Average at best. i expected better. PROS: Easy to setup, Compact. CONS: Tiny remote has no illumination, Projection is only good if you are sitting in front of it, Needs extra speakers for a true surround sound.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After I long search I found the sony's HTXT1 a right choice for my bigger sized LED tv... a quality product with stylish look with a great sound quality .... Seems money's worth. I strongly recommend to go for the product as it stands on the top order in this segment.In the highly competitive market sony's htxt1 stands proudly on the top.

The system has just average sound, but I guess that is what is available in this price range. No real complaints but I think I was led to believe that the sound would be a true surround sound. It does not sound like a true surround sound. It was easy to set up and operate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sound bar works fine but the Sony Registration process is a waste of time. The site would not allow me to put in my model number. Kicked it out each time so I just entered another sound bar model number to get past.

It's sounds fine, but I specifically wanted it to be compatible with my dish remote. Dish stated its a manufacturers issue if they do not provide compatible codes to operate their remotes.

Hello Thematamori!, Thank you for your feedback, we will forward ti to the proper department for review. Please keep in mind also that each manufacturers may assign different code numbers in their universal remote controls to identify the Infrared (IR) signal of a Sony product. Thus, the code number used for operating a Sony product in one remote control may be different from that used by another.

Great sound, remote, app integration

Have had this for several years. Love it. Actually use it more for music than TV. Form factor was primary motivation to purchase. Integration with Sony music app is good. Remote control is very handy (love the design). For another room, wondering whether I can add wireless speakers and but a second, but I suspect that requires the xt2 + the speakers.
Overall best Sony product I've purchased (although NW Walkman is a close second). Restored confidence in company.

I bought this to add some better sound quality to my second TV. Unfortunately this TV is relatively older than the HDMI ARC technology so I needed an Optical cable to connect the TV with the soundbar. I think this cable should be included with the equipment. It also requires an HDMI cable but if my TV supported ARC via HDMI, then I would not need any other cables. Has settings for the type of video being played, e.g. Movie, Sports, etc. Enhanced sound quality is fair.
I would recommend this to a friend!
