Works Well, Doesn't Age Well

The GearFit is definitely an upgrade from my FitBit Flex since I have alarms, text message, call notices, along with workout tracking. I got mine in November 2014 and have worn it daily for the last 10 months. It's great for step & workout tracking (walking, skating, weight training) and it doesn't look out of place with my corporate suits and dresses.
Unfortunately, the silver detail around the screen has started to flake off in spots (have less than 50% left). Please make sure the next version is a bit more robust.
The main reason I got the GearFit is that it's at a great price point and doesn't look oddly oversized for my wrist. Thanks Samsung for designing a slim streamlined smartwatch.

Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, discreet alerts, watch-like
Cons: silver trim deteriorates < 10 months

Samsung Gear Fit

Most of my family and friends has a fit-bit to track their activities. I decided to get a Samsung Gear Fit to go alone with my Samsung Phone. And I love it.... it has more than enough features for my use. I've used them all and would recommend the Gear Fir to anyone. Very comfortable to wear, be careful, you can knock it off your wrist. Also I enjoy some of Samsung App that works great as well.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight

I have had many other fitness trackers (Nike, Jawbone, fit bit) this was by far my favorite until recently. I was getting 3 days out of a charge, now I am barely able to get a full 24 hours before I get a critical low battery alert. I love the screen and notifications alerts. I am also having issues with the band coming open more frequently than when I first bought it. I wish the battery issue could be resolved. I have only had the watch for about 3 months.
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: poor battery life

Has some good features

First of all, when I put the Gear Fit on, I realized that it was far too large for my slender wrist. It will tie small enough but the product itself is quite large. It seems a bit uncomfortable to wear at times. It has fallen off a couple of times because it gets caught in my gloves and sleeves.
I love that it lets me know when I am getting a call, email or text and can dismiss it with one swipe if I can't answer or read it if it is not too long.
It is not very accurate for detecting heart rate or counting steps, so I usually default to my phone for at least the pedometer. I guess I don't use it much for fitness, so if that is what you are looking for you may be disappointed.
I use the timer quite often at work.
I love that it lets me know when I am getting a call, email or text and can dismiss it with one swipe if I can't answer or read it if it is not too long.

I love my new Gear Fit. It is synchronized with my Samsung phone so that my text messages come through but most of all, I love the motivation it gives me to walk by tracking my steps.
Pros: Lightweight

The Gear Fit is an awesome tool to help you stay fit! Pedometer is the most accurate one I've ever owned! Nice to be able to sync with my Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note.
