Gear fit tough

my gear fit is tough because i lost it and my mom found it in the laundry, after she had washed and dried it and it survived . it still works perfectly well. I love my Samsung gear fit, thank you Samsung for making tough products.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

Close to what I was hoping for

I have only owned my Samsung Gearfit for a week however in that time I've used it continuously, trying the various features of it. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with it.
I started out looking for a fitness band. In searching for the various features, I began to look more at the smartwatches which feature the same things as most fitness bands but offer a few additional features that I thought might be nice to have. I don't want to wear a phone on my wrist so I'm not looking for tons of features. That being said, I do like the ability to receive text messages and other message updates and quickly reply to them when I'm out enjoying my leisure time just in case one of my family members is trying to reach me.
For me, the pros are:
Fairly attractive design that works on a woman's wrist
Offers fitness tracking features I was looking for
Has optional applications that work with my Samsung S4 phone (the apps list seems to be growing, which is a good thing)
Allows me to check text messages, email, pm's from social media as they come in
Affordable price (it cost less than the fitness bands I was looking at)
Cons:
Pedometer seems to be inaccurate, over-calculating my steps (after all, fitness tracking was the main reason I was looking for a device such as this)
Could be a little slimmer design for women
Would rather see apps on a main screen vs buried in menu
Overall I am enjoying my Gear Fit band and I like how it interacts easily with my phone. That being said, I'd like to see the fitness tracking become more accurate and I'd love to see the apps be more easily accessible.
The make or break thing for me will be whether or not Samsung supports it with software updates over time as they roll out new products. If the band lasts a few years but they don't keep it updated, then I'll be looking at other brands in the future.

Samsung Gear Fit/with my Samsung S4

beside the benefits of keeping time and keeping track of my walking there was an additional feature that I hadn't thought of. where I work I have to be quiet and I can now receive calls without disturbing anyone else. My phone also vibrates but I don't usually notice it when I am busy. I always notice the one on my arm. I also use it to keep track of my sleep and heart rate. I checked it on my last visit to the Dr and the numbers match with what the Dr got. although my phone also comes with a pedometer I do a lot of walking when I have forgotten my phone. also I am surprised how many people notice it as well as complimenting me.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight, quiet

Unexpected acquisition!

I wanted to upgrade to a better fitness wrist band and decided to give the Gear Fit a go and I have no regerets ever since. I wear a suit 6 days a week and the bold, stylish look the Gear Fit has given me has basically replaced all of my 6 watches I currently own. It counts my steps and not just my steps, a lot of people say it is inaccurate, it's not, it counts your every movement and translate it to steps, then converts it to distance in miles or km and calories burned. Cool! Heart beat sensor, awesome, customizable background, very cool and the last thing I will mention is that the wrist band's amolded display, it's HD display, and comfortability is great and since it's release it has had several updates and tweaks made to the software. I am not a person to give a bad review, because of software, why? I am impressed by the way Samsung has been on point to improve the Gear Fit's software and it will continue to improve it as needed, so that makes me confident that my purchase was worth it.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, watch replacement, long battery life, water resistant
Cons: software needs improvement

Great tracker for a fitness enthusiasts!

So far I'm pleased with the Gear fit, it's just the right size for my needs, I wish it had a better locking mechanism for the wristband as I fear I might loose it some day if I get it caught on my clothing. I'm happy with the features, heart rate monitor, pedometer, sleep pattern monitor, plus messaging and locate my device to make my Galaxy S5 ring if I misplace it. Plus battery life has been better than expected.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight, comfortable to wear

If I do not have my phone on me I get my medication alerts and such. Easy to put on, not big and ugly, easy to clean.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight

This is just a beautiful smart watch to have need some very small improvements on the health apps side but overall a must have.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, custamisable
Cons: health apps need some fine tuning

great fitness band/watch

This smart watch works great for me. Not only is it small and narrow, but it looks very sleek. Being a girl, it' s important for me not to have a big bulky watch. It fits snugly on my wrist. I can choose different modes for the display. You can change the background or upload your own picture. It's little bit tricky, since the display is narrow and long but I am pretty sure you can find the right picture. The only thing I hate about it though, is that when I have the main display with digital clock and weather channel, it shows my picture underneath. It may sound crazy but I do not want people to stare at my photo every time I twist my wrist. So, I changed the main display to the sleek watch design that lights up every time I move my hand. And have my photo on the remainder screens. You can also download other watch designes if you are not happy with the preloaded ones. The functions are great for my needs. I can do my exercise stuff with the fitness apps. On the smart watch side, it' s basic but I love it. It lets me know if somebody is calling, I receive text messages, email and other apps notification I choose from the menu. Yes, I can not answer the call, nor text back, but that's why I have the phone. I do not need another phone on my hand. It' s more like a tool for me to decide whether it' s worth to try to dig up my phone from my bag or not. You have to be connected through Bluetooth to receive the notifications and be within range of your phone, but how many times do you actually leave the house without your phone? I also love the media controller. I do not have Bluetooth in my car so I always plug my phone trough the aux in. So, when I want to change song I have to go to the phone which is upsetting and dangerous. But now I just change the song on my new smart watch! Another app I like is the timer which comes very handy when I cook.
Pros: Inexpensive, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
