Dear alll
I bought the Gear Fit to be notified before a Outlook appointment.
Now I'm very disappointed because this feature is only working if
it is connected to my Galaxy S5.
Why is the Gear Fit not able to keep the next 5 appointments stored without connection to S5?
For me this function is absolutely useless if a connection to the S5 is a requirement:-(
Otherwise the step counter is really unexact: after 5 hours with my car (manual gearbox) I had more the 500 steps on my Gear Fit:-(
The heart rate sensor is only working if you don't move: but I like to measure while I'm walking, same as with a chest belt!
When does Samsung plan to fix this with an Upgrade???

Massive disappointment

Issues:
1. Locks up frequently
2. Start exercise/walking process and checks pressure then counts down 3,2,1 then you start walking. Only problem, it stops tracking your workout part of the way through your walk.
3. Press a button to check pedometer (or anything else). If the watch happens to be trying to sync to the phone it automatically locks up - game over!
4. Periodically doesn't want to charge up.
5. Pedometer stops counting steps for no reason and doesn't respond to pause/resume. Sometimes have to do a reset of watch to get it to work.
6. Don't know why - sometimes watch and phone get out of sync with each other and have to reset both, losing any record of workout that day.
7. Do not want to be compared to the "other" 10,000 people using Gear Fit. would like a way to disconnect that feature.
8. Would like to be able to exercise without the phone present.
9. Watch should beep if I leave the phone behind. Currently the phone beeps if I walk away with the watch. If it is in the next room I don't hear it.
10. Display does not stay bright after reset and requires setup again.

Nice, but not for long

The GearFit works great for a month or so until a black liquid starts emanating from inside under the battery. I've had 2 of these with the exact result. I would probably recommend this only to my worst enemy, because it is a painful waste of money.

In an environment where fitness is becoming a priority, this device is working out great for me. I am a beginner when it comes to working out. This device is easy to use and shows me everything that I want to see without picking up my phone. If I want to see more, I can send the message to my phone with the touch of a button. I am a fan of checking my messages and phone calls from my watch. There are a few apps that work well with an overall easy to use interface.
Within the first week I had a perfect understanding of how to use this device and everything that I could do with it. Many of my friends use the Fitbit trackers and this one does everything that the Fitbit does and way more all for a similar cost.

This is a good intermediate between a Fitness tracker and smart watch. I love mine!

I love this gear fit! I have not stopped using it since I bought it.. I actually have gotten half the people at my job to get this or something like it because of how discreet it is to recieve text messages as well as track my exercise. I only wish that it had speakers to listen to music, but other than that it is awesome. I even downloaded little additional apps that help me text off of it and stuff. It is definitely worth the buy!!
Pros: Inexpensive, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight

Big battery issues

This is a really cool concept and product. I really was excited to get one. Charged it fully the first morning. By bedtime it was down to 80%. Really good!!! But over night it went from 80% to 10%. Really bad!!!! I'll waste a little time with support, but likely this is going back to Best Buy, no why it will hold a charge for several days as advertised. Bummer.

THIS IS AN AWESOME PRODUCT EXCEPT THE PEDOMETER ONLY WORKED FOR 1 DAY, I TURNED IT ON TODAY AND COUNT IS STILL ZERO!!! PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.

Amazing watch

I was expecting to get my Fit the moment it come out. So I went to the store and they only had one left. It has met my expectations. I went to the Dr. and everyone was asking me what was it. The nurse was amazed that the heart rate was correct. I must admit there are somethings that I do wish for the price it had. I wish I could change the font colors so when I change the background it is readable, also it would have been nice to able to charge directly to the Fit. Also the changeable bans at the time of release of the Fit.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, style
Cons: expensive, charge device
