The Samsung Gear Fit is a very poor fit!

This is a beautiful piece of equipment. I absolutely loved the feel and the look. From there, the accolades go downhill. Where should I start? The website simply would not let me download the manuals or any software to use the Gear Fit. It took a while, but the problem was that I am NOT Samsung centric in my phone or tablet.
Heres a hint Samsung... DON'T say "mobile device" if you actually mean SAMSUNG GALAXY phone or tablet. I have neither and as a result, I am unable to use the fit.
For me, this isn't even heavy enough to use as a fishing weight.

Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, very poor data on website.

Love my Fit

I have had my Fit since the release and I really love it. it does everything it supposed to do.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight

If you have an old phone you might like it but I just purchased a note 4 edge and the software is not supported on this phone. I now owm a plain black bracelet that does nothing. You have to download the program to activate the bracelet.
I should have known better ànd bought the fit bit charge hr. And an iPhone.

It doesn't fit the band is too small wish they made in S M L and XL it comes in one size I had to take it back
Cons: Did not meet expectations, should make it for a man size wrist

I ordered the Samsung GearFit because I assumed I would be able to use it with my 4G Galaxy tablet. (I don't have a smart phone.) I was unable to download the Samsung website that is supposed to give directions, etc. on to my desktop, which is really where I wanted to keep it. And, when I attempted to download it onto my tablet, I got a note that said that my device was not "eligible" to use with the GearFit.
I assumed that a Samsung device would be compatible with a Samsung GearFit. Silly me. Now I have to make arrangements to return the GearFit. A huge disappointment and annoyance, both.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: couldn't be used with my galaxy tablet., no indication that it would not be usable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This watch is useless with any other phone but the S5. The store told us it would be compatible with our S3 and somethings are but none of the fit works correctly.Avoid

Depends on where you work

I got this because I take a medication that affects my blood pressure and heart rate. I thought this would be a good way to keep an eye on them during the day without having to carry my BP cuff to work. Unfortunately, I work in a secured building. Devices that connect to a wireless signal are not allowed, so I had to carry it back to my car and leave it there. So I am not allowed to carry my new watch into work. I went back to wearing my reliable old analog Timex, no flashing lights, no calendar, just time including seconds.
The Fit Watch fit well, and I am sure that it would work well for people who don't work in a secured area, but if you are in the military or work for the federal government in any secured capacity, don't buy this or any other wireless connected-style watch, as it won't be allowed in your facility. If you will only need it during your off time, then maybe that is okay for you.
For me, only being able to wear it at night or weekends is bad performance. The design and features were good, if I could have used them, they would have met my performance needs, especially combined with the apps on my Samsung tablet. But, not being able to use it at the times I needed equalled a poor value for me, so I returned the unit.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, not usable at my work place due to security issues
