Great and Getting Even Better

For a fitness tracker, the Gear Fit is ambitious. It doesn't have all of the features of the Gear smartwatch, but was designed to monitor physical activity. It does also allow users to view incoming text messages, and reply with saved responses you can customize yourself. You can also customize the background screen image. It also charges very quickly. I've had this for over 6 months, and it still attracts the attention of whoever is around. It's getting even better because the software is consistently improving -so I can see data today that I couldn't several months ago. I hope Samsung will continue to evolve the S Health software app (you view this on your phone), because I plan to keep the Gear Fit in daily use.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, stylish

I absolutely love my gear fit. I wanted a Fitbit for Christmas but my family got me the Gear Fit instead and I have a friend that has a Fitbit so we compared them and the Gear Fit is way more accurate. The only thing they can improve on is the cycling feature, I only get on a bike at the gym and it doesn't work with that. I would it if they improved the sleep feature so it would tell you how many times you woke up during the night. Overall, I will stick with the Gear Fit and I recommend it to everyone. My friend that has the Fitbit is looking at getting a Gear Fit.

Sleep Walking?

I wake up every morning with 19 steps no more no less, however my sleep monitor says a different story... I also find it cannot measure my heart rate during a workout even after I have taken the watch off and wiped my wrist and the gear fit off from sweat. I am over all happy with the gear fit, however as I got this for the sole purpose of measuring my heart rate during workouts as well as calories burned. Finally, during my run it some home stopped calulating the time...I will try again to make sure i just didnt press reset accidentally... I dont know that this product could exactly be given a 4 star rating due to the fact that it really doesnt measure those when you need it most.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations

I got mine for Christmas and was very disappointed. I loved the design and fit. After realizing it doesn't work with S Health on the Note 3, I returned it. What's the point of having it if it doesn't sync my activities with my phone. I was very disappointed to find only works with the S5. It was advertised to work with the Note 3. Back to the drawing board to find an activity tracker with a heart rate monitor I like.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I got my Gear Fit for Christmas with my Note 4 and it is great for whatever I do. When I go for a run the exercise feature records my heart rate and max speed and average speed along with calories burned and time. It is also nice because the front page can be customized.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, accurate

I wish it tracked other exercises like the Stair Master or Elliptical. Other than that I really like the design and heart monitor as well as the sleep monitor. If they add the other exercises it will be perfect.

really like gearfit, but too easy to lose

I really enjoyed my gear fit and showed everyone the cool features, but after loosing 2. I can't recommend it to anyone. I lost one because the band became lose after a few months and fell off. The next one popped out the band and was lost some where during my travels. Cool features but too easy to lose.

I was wanting a wearable device that would track my steps without having my S5 on me all the time. I liked the larger "made for men" watches but they were just too big and bulky for my arm. I received a "Fitbit" from my work and it worked fine but if I'm going to wear something on my arm I wanted a watch. I also love all the other features it gives me.
Now, my husband want's me to hurry up and upgrade my S5 phone, he always gets my hand-me-downs, so he can have my watch. I told him he would have to get the big bulky one, I was staying with Samsung and it would work with my new phone when I get one...lol
Thank you Samsung for such a great product!

Cons: wish it had a way to listen to music.
