Does not sync with any Samsung apps*

I downloaded the required app per the instructions; it Fails to Sync when the app is opened, once you retry countless times and finally hit cancel, it shows that it Synced with the current date and time and data. HOWEVER, you cannot access anything else, as in NO PAST HISTORY. The app shows details charts - which you cannot access because of this issue. It doesn't work with the Gear Fit apps or the Gear Fit Manager or S Health. I am using it with a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active which is 15 months old.
Very disappointed with Samsung, I love my Galaxy Tab and S4 and like what the watch does, just wish it would work correctly with apps - ya know - LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO!

Great Product

I have had my Gear Fit for almost 1 month now. I have not had any issues with it and I have been impressed with design, functionality, and the integration with my phone (Samsung Note 4). The battery life is great also. I currently can go 3 full days before recharging the Gear Fit. Durability has been fine as well although I not the type of person who test things I buy to the limit. I have washed dishes wearing the Gear Fit and although I did not submerse the Gear Fit in water, it withstood the water it did encounter without issue.
The only feature missing for me right now, is that I would like my Gear Fit to automatically check my heart rate throughout the day/night. Right now, you manually do that by clicking the Heart Rate icon on the Gear Fit (yes...that is very easy) but if the Gear Fit can do it for automatically on some periodic basis, you could have a more complete heart rate history (i.e. heart rate while sleeping).
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: the watch band is a bit bland

Power Button broke and poor heart rate monitor

I am very disappointed in the heart rate monitor. It can take up to 3 times trying before it will read my heart rate. When it does, it is very off. I walked up 15 flights of stairs and showed my heart rate to be 83 bpm.
The power button is stuck and I cannot turn the unit off now or on. I have to swing my arm to get the display to show. I will be taking this back to where I bought it for a return.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

Such a great piece of equipment. Meets almost every need for a working busy mother also trying to stay in shape. Most experienced fit geeks are using the well, known apps myfitnesspal and mapmyrun. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone! If only they would allow this gear to sync with those common apps. S Health is pointless for those who live in conditions where sometimes the gym workout is the only option. Please update soon to sync with those more commonly used apps! Your product would be number 1 for sure!

I got this because I take a medication that affects my blood pressure and heart rate. I thought this would be a good way to keep an eye on them during the day without having to carry my BP cuff to work. Unfortunately, I work in a secured building. Devices that connect to a wireless signal are not allowed, so I had to carry it back to my car and leave it there. So I am not allowed to carry my new watch into work. I went back to wearing my reliable old analog Timex, no flashing lights, no calendar, just time including seconds.
The Fit Watch fit well, and I am sure that it would work well for people who don't work in a secured area, but if you are in the military or work for the federal government in any secured capacity, don't buy this or any other wireless connected-style watch, as it won't be allowed in your facility. If you will only need it during your off time, then maybe that is okay for you.
For me, only being able to wear it at night or weekends is bad performance. The design and features were good, if I could have used them, they would have met my performance needs, especially combined with the apps on my Samsung tablet. But, not being able to use it at the times I needed equalled a poor value for me, so I returned the unit.

Cons: Did not meet expectations, not usable at my work place due to security issues

I'm disappointed with the performance with this product. Distance calculation is way off and sometimes as much at 1/2 mile after running a 5K. I work hard for my miles and I'd prefer a more accurate unit. It looks stylish but that's all it's has going for the Gear Fit.

Good product for hearing impaired.

I am hard of hearing so I never hear my message alerts, rarely hear my phone ring, etc. This is great for me because I do feel it buzzing on my wrist so now I get to my messages in a timely manner. Also, most of the time I don't hear the alarm in the morning and once again I do feel the buzz from the gear fit and that wakes me up.
The pedometer function is great. It helps me to make my fitness goals.
I also like the sleep function. There is a find my device function which will be helpful.
All in all this is a useful little device for me.
