Was skeptical from the other reviews but I really do love this thing! I think the updates fixed allot
of the bugs or issues people had but it seems accurate on the info it displays and is very simplistic.

Great smart watch but not for fitness

I bought the watch primarily to measure sleep patterns (e.g., restful sleep) and miles run, pace per mile and heart rate during exercise. The sleep part works well but the heart rate monitor during exercise was way off. It measured 172 beats per minute during cool down periods of interval trainign which is ridiculous. I could get a more accurate measure manually. And the distance was off anywhere from 25% - 40%. based on the S Health app in my S5 phone and my own general knowledge of the courses I run and walk.
I only had the watch 29 days and returned it.
I forgot to mention thar the software froze during the 29 day period and I had to reset the watch.
The non fitness features work very well but for me, I purchased it for the fitness function.

Device functions good but construction quality is poor

Device does everything they claim, but all the chrome is flaking off the display bezel and the wrist band pins. Device is not very durable for "Fitness" use.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality

Fitness with Gear no longer logs data for me anymore.

When I first got my Gear Fitness, I was very happy that it's able to track my exercise activity, amount of steps, and sleep pattern and I can see my own historical pattern to see my progress. However, after Oct 10th (to many others... 12th) 2014, this feature stopped working for me. The only thing I can see from the Fitness with Gear is the current snap shot of the pedometer or the last recorded data. It no longer save the data for you to review later... Wouldn't be easier if these data can be logged locally on the smartphone itself?
What is the point of tie Gear Fitness with fitness with gear when no one is addressing this issue? The purpose of buying the product is that you can view your activity from your Samsung Smart Phone. If the functionality isn't there... you're better off buying a cheaper sport watch.

Great Way to Track Weight Loss

I love all the apps, the alerts, heart monitor, sleep tracker, pedometer and that it syncs automatically to my Samsung phone & tablet. I like that I can change the screen photo, add my own little text responses for phone calls, texts and e-mails. Best gift ever!

Software problems

I bought the gear on july, I trained regularly every week, but the smartphone manager software is stucked on the 29th of august. Me and other customers wrote the problem but until now we haven't received an answer or a solution. The gear software doesn't work properly (I ran for 7km and it gave me 14kcal burned). I'm writing here hoping for a solution.

Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

This product worked for 60 days and then became stuck in continuous reboot mode. This is the last Sasmsung product I'll ever purchase.

The Gear Fit is perfect. It's very comfortable and I am not one who normally wears a watch. The notification vibrate feature is great. I've had it for almost a month and have had no issues at all.
