Doesn't work.

Just bought it, connected to my macbook air. Doesn't install automatically, and when I try manually, menu shows only options for PC, no apple products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

won't play DVDs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like some of the other reviews, I had difficulty getting the device to play DVDs. I found that if I plugged the device directly into my computer instead of through a USB hub it worked without any further problems. . . I also found the device to be fairly noisy for something that is advertised as having "silent play technology" . . .

Does NOT work with Windows 10

This does NOT work at all with Windows 10 even though it is advertised to work with Windows 10.

Awful Product: Absolute garbage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product with the intent to run dvds and CDs on my ASUS laptop, which is what the advertisement claims it can do. It doesn't do either correctly or efficiently! You have to install a separate media player, and even then, the probability of a DVD actually playing is inconsistent. Sometimes I'll be able to play a DVD for a short amount of time, but other times it will refuse to play the same DVD! Absolutely awful product. Do not waste your money on this piece of trash.

Extremely reliable

This drive has consistently delivered. Multi-session data discs (even when previous sessions started on another drive), audio discs, everything I've burned on this has been a success.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!
