When it comes to tvs I always choose Samsung. I had the uhd 6700 and a few months ago I purchased the 8500 and I'm very satisfied with my purchase. From the design of the tv to the performance, I love it. I also love playing video games and playin my PS4 with my 8500 is the best experience I've had with a tv. Keep making a good product and you will always have loyal customers like myself.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: the sound could've been better
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had the UN65JS8500 for about one year now. I looked at many televisions and read many reviews before choosing this model. I must say that I am very happy with my choice. This television has a beautiful picture. The colors pop and the detail is fantastic. The Tizen OS is easy to navigate. There a numerous options for tweaking the set to your preferences. The television is also very attractive in its design. I have it paired up with a number of other devices, including my XBOX One, an a/v receiver and a DirecTV box. It integrates nicely with everything. Samsung's displays are definitely fine quality, and they are always looking toward innovation in their products. When the time comes to purchase another main TV, Samsung will certainly be at the top of my list of choices because of this.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, easy to navigate, very crisp and clear image

This TV deliveries a truly stunning and immersive picture. I have always been a plasma fan and hated to make the switch to LED but this tv has won me over... It's brightness and colors are amazing to look at. Plus it doesn't make a peep and act as a secondary heater for your house!! Haha! Truly loving this set!!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, amazing 3d playback looks terrific!!, 4k content has never looked better!!
Cons: so far so good...
I would recommend this to a friend!

"Color Us Happy" @ 497,664,000 pixels/sec! (UHD @ 60Hz): A Verbose Review

We recently looked at a UHD (4K) TV with 4K content being displayed, and were pretty impressed with the detail vs Full HD (1920x1080). But then, when we saw the incredibly brilliant, vibrant colors of a 65" Samsung SUHD TV, our jaws dropped. We were completely immersed, and came close to buying one.
A week later, after seeing a 55" model advertised for $2K, it was a no-brainer. The upscaling of Full HD (1080i for TV, 1080p for Blu-ray, computer, video streaming, etc.) to UHD on this set is quite impressive, it takes each dot and makes it into four by sampling the neighboring colors, the result being near-UHD quality. BTW, for streaming UHD content, you need a steady 25Mbps connection or faster.
Hooking up my laptop via HDMI (1.4) yielded a very usable 30p Hz @ 4K, I noticed quite a difference with mouse movement response vs. another brand’s UHD TV, possibly because of the SUHD TV’s powerful quad-core processor. Running 60p Hz @ 1920x1080 is great for gaming, and in general, you may find it more practical. You wouldn’t know it wasn’t at its native resolution by looking at it. (Though I still wonder if TV manufacturers could have made 60i Hz @ 4K over HDMI a possibility.)
Playing a DVD in a Blu-ray player doesn’t look bad at all, considering you’re taking less than 350,000 (720x480) pixels/dots of color and upconverting it to Full HD via the player to over 2M (1920x1080) pixels, then from there the TV makes that into well over 8M pixels (3840x2160) – that’s taking each pixel and making it into 24! It’s hard to believe, really. I’ll have an algorithm to go, please!
Did I mention the colors? <grin> The first movie we watched was "Breakfast at Tiffany's" @ 1080p streamed, and there were all sorts of items in the movie that showed very rich coloring, and at times it was dazzling. Lighting is enhanced, Audrey never looked so beautiful!
And then there’s a natural 3D depth effect, even in 2D mode. Objects in the background look as if they’re further back in the TV, it’s unreal. Even watching the evening news, for instance, when they use graphics special effects, it's candy for the eyes. Blu-ray movies look amazing.
Being an owner of a 27” curved IPS (in-plane switching, no reflection) Samsung monitor, I’d say if money’s no object and you’re considering this TV, a curved set’s worth checking out. It’s similar to the curvature of the human eye. I don’t know if the curved TV model sports an IPS panel, but if so, that would help explain why it costs another $1K or so, besides the fact that it’s curved, which undoubtedly costs more to manufacture.
A cable that goes into the back of the TV connects to a convenient “place where you want” hub with four HDMI ports and two USB 2.0 ports, and on the back of the set you’ll find a USB 3.0 port, great for a superspeed flash drive (FAT/FAT32 formatted). Another HDMI port and a DisplayPort connection would be nice, but many cheaper TVs only have two, so four isn’t bad.
Doing some research on OLED (organic light-emitting diode) TVs made us even more confident and happy with our purchase, as OLED isn’t fully perfected, with a jittery picture seeming to be the main complaint of owners. Plus, the price is currently in the stratosphere. True, black is pure, as the diode is “off,” but the SUHD TV, IMHO, is by far the better buy, and its black is pretty dark. Lastly, one video author online suggests the "S" stands for "Super" but I say he forgot to add "...califragilisticexpialidocious." (OK, I guess you can "color me tired" now.)
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, usb 3.0 port two usb 2.0, superior upscaling, bang for the buck, more enjoyable (family spends time together), plug cables into a hub not back of tv
Cons: no displayport connection

Just the right TV

This is a top of the line TV with all the necessary features and it looks great. Its thin depth allows the set to be attached close to the wall and its thin bezel adds to the sleek look. None of this would be important if it were not for the fact that the picture is excellent. The set up was easy and now we can just sit back and enjoy.
Pros: Realistic color, Built-in speakers, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!
