Excellent color, upscaled resolutions, and overall another phenomenal TV from Samsung. I would prefer they include the larger Connect box rather than the Mini but that is my only gripe currently.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am not an audio/video expert but this is the best TV that I have ever owned. It was easy to set up including the internet for online applications. The picture required some minor adjustments in order to get it the way that I personally liked best but this was an easy process. I have never seen this much clarity and realistic color in a screen picture before. It did not matter if i was watching the local news, an internet movie or a sport event the picture was outstanding as was the sound. I highly recommend this product.
we did experience a problem mounting the set due to the relatively short one connect mini cable. when the set was moved, the connector was pulled off of the cable wire and we needed a replacement. The new cable is temporarily hanging free rather that passing through the wall in order to make it reach properly. We will probably mount the mini box to the back of the set and run the connecting wiring from other devices through the wall to the mini box. it is my understanding that Samsung should have a longer connecting cable available in the "beginning of the year."
Impressive quality and features makes it a great purchase for the right price!!!

I am so happy with my purchase following my extensive research when I compared brand names, then model numbers. The ultimate features and price points make this a big bang for the buck. The hd, brightness and color display is crisp and with the right color adjustments, the angle view can work well. Overall quality in total immersion. I mainly watch streaming videos and hd cable and have a newfound appreciation for upscale 4K while watching DVD, Blu-ray and the 3D is incredible.
Setup was easy while hooking up my cable and online streaming. The remote took getting use to. The sound quality was terrible so I guess you're expected to invest in a sound bar. Luckily, I had already planned to hook up my surround sound speakers through my AV receiver... doiung this was a little more challenging as I later learned Samsung TVs had issues connecting to other brand names. It didn't recognize all my bluetooth products and the one connect hub seem temperamental. But once I figured out the ARC connecton, my AVR and speakers complemented my new Samsung experience that made for great entertainment.
Good overall... need improvement on manual, cable lengths, and remote control design

remote control difficult to use for big hands.. remote features not placed in a logical location, hard to tell different buttons from one another.
The one connect cable is too short.. works fine if connecting devices are in a cabinet directly below screen. Cable needs to be 10' long.. cost to increase length is negligible.
Provide hard copy of basic manual... difficult to read computer and tv at same time.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display
Cons: see detailed review above, better shape and layout of buttons on remote contr, connect one cable too short.. needs to be 10'

best 4k tv yet

Let me start out to say that i have never been disappointed in samsung in the last 6 years.( i trade every year). This is more about the oled hype that i have experienced 1st hand. Like always after the ces show i wait to see whats new , then check the web sight for detail specs.Wait for spring or early summer for the prices to come down & promotions then buy. Right after my purchase of the 55js8500 i had a chance to pick up a lg 55eg9600 at a really great price. So i did & had it 4 days with careful calibration ( expert 1) the pix was good but not all that great.Kept fine tuning my settings over 3 days i was that happy with the video image and returned it. The samsung UNJS8500 out performed lgs 4k oled in many ways, just wished samsung would have the JS9500 available in a flat panel ( cheaper) & 55 inch.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, best lcd ever
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pros+ *Picture quality very good *Number of inputs/outputs good *Picture uniformity good *UI very good and fast *3D feature works very good
Cons- *Audio out has no volume control from TV (when external speakers are connected, audio level coming out of the TV can no longer be adjusted using TV remote), tv remote only adjust tv speakers output level and not internal sound output level. this is a big feature/design flaw. this means every time one has to use a separate remote to control volume when using audio out. *One connect is not the "one and only" place to connect all wires such as lan or rca cable has to be connected to back of tv. so one connect is not really "one". there are still many connects involved. *App selection is very minimal.
