I recently got this tv and it's awesome. I'm glad I chose this tv as my new upgrade tv. Samsung always delivers with there products. I'll always choose samsung over other brands
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, picture is off the charts

It is a great TV. The only problem is that it lacks major applications. It needs to have live FOX News International (LIVE), CNN International (LIVE), BBC (LIVE), AL Jazeera English (LIVE), and some other important apps (LIVE). If the company adds those applications, it would be amazing. It is a great TV, and I hope Samsung would also address the stand. The stand is a little weak for the weight of the TV. Please continue the good work. Thank you so much.

Beautiful picture

This is a great TV. Great picture and lots of cool functions. The downside to this is the bluetooth remote. You need to use a pointer with an onscreen keypad to change channels and it doesn't work as fluidly as I expect a Samsung product to. I have had lots of Samsung products and this is another excellent television choice.

Received the tv with a bubble in the screen! Definitely not happy with the quality of the product this far!

Time intensive to calibrate, but well worth the effort; A compelling price-to-value ratio

After owning a number of another leading brand's HDTVs, I finally made the switch to Samsung for my first foray into the world of 4K SUHD after my highly enjoyable Samsung Galaxy 6 edge smartphone ownership experience.
I found the JS8500's picture tuning to be a real challenge largely due to the SUHD having more parameters to configure relative to my previous 1080p HDTVs. But when I finally exhausted all the picture settings possibilities and permutations, finding the sweet spot of contrast, back-lighting, and color saturation, the end result is a stunning picture on all inputs that rewards my senses on a daily basis.
As we await more 4K native content, the up-scaling of our entire Blu-ray collection has provided a hugely enjoyable bonus experience. The active 3D playback has an even more enhanced wow factor aided by the ability to also configure those separate settings to desired personal preferences.
It's a testament to the Samsung engineers that the scope of such manual control is available on this SUHD, but such complexity may well be uninviting to those seeking a simple plug and play viewing experience.

Poor design

Poor design....had this tv for 4 months,worked fine till I put it on the wall.Right after I put it up on the wall I got black spots on every corner.....Samsungs Customers service told me it was because of my handling of the tv that damaged it therfore it's not covered under warranty, so now I'm stuck with a damaged tv that I simply tried to hang on my wall.....I'm blown away how simply holding the tv up to mount it can damage it that easily. If I would have known it was that sensitive to something so basic as that I would have never bought it.....extremely upset with this issue and will never bye a Samsung again due to its poor craftsmanship!!!!!
