Couldn't be happier with this purchase after a friend recommended and reading other positive reviews. Have had many compliments from friends when they were over to watch the college bowl games.

This 4K HDTV has a beautiful picture right out of the box in the dynamic range. It's even better when you use a calibration disc to make your own settings. Lots of features and apps. Starts up quickly. It does not come with a paper users manual and it really should, there is a e manual once you have it hooked up.

Got this on black friday and it's one of the best pictures I have ever watched.
I used this guide for picture calibration and it's perfect http://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/samsung-un65js8500-picture-settings/
4k videos on youtube look outstanding, the 3D depth is amazing, i havn't experienced much popout effects on bluray 3d movies. there are some one youtube but even those are not quite in your face.

I just upgraded to this Samsung 55" 4K Ultra Smart TV! It is awesome to say the least! The Smart Hub takes you through all the set up and app settings and the remote is easy to use. I was really impressed with the point and click feature on the remote. Really cool! The picture is phenomenal! I'm still learning about all it's features but it is pretty straight forward. The only thing I worry about is the stand which you have to make sure you really tighten. It is a little shaky but during set up I've had to move it around a bit. I didn't think I wanted a wall mount because it didn't really match the cabinet arrangement but I might look into it especially since we live in AK where there are earthquakes. Overall I'm extremely satisfied - not too mention the kids who love it!
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Lightweight, smart hub, remote, great picture
Cons: stand is a little shakey, the assembly instructions are very sketchy.

emanual did not give adequate information about hookup of Samsung DVD-VCR player. I had to get help over the phone. The individual who helped me was excellent. All is well now.
