Worst refrigerator

Junk. Paint chipping off. Seal failing. Ice maker water dispenser failed and too expensive to fix.. There is a website dedicated to the failings of the compressor. Circulator fan frosts up and requires a full day defrost every year.
Pros: Style/Design

Absolute junk! Had it a few years and have replaced a compressor the door peeled, the crisper drawer failed, it has iced up a dozen times now the icemaker is acting up!

Nice and cool features, brilliant customer service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator 4 years back, and me writing this review should indicate that my experience with this item is going to be quite a worthy one. As with any electronic device, things can go wrong. But with this large investment, it better doesn't happen too often. Let me go with the cool stuff first and let the not-so-cool things come later.
This fridge has a cool look. That was something that caught our attention at the very beginning. Awesome color, nicely spaced out racks, lots of space in the freezer section, quite a reasonable sized icebox, quiet operation, cool LED lighting, diagnostic information collection automatically through coded signals, counter-depth pattern, three separate compartments for my cheese & wine -- are some of the cool needs. And even after 4 years of continuous usage, they all work very well. I didn't take off the wrapped plastic cover, so I cannot comment on whether it would have managed scratches .. but it should mean to you that you can keep the plastic cover on and it will still look as good and unnoticeable.
Now here are the not-so-cool parts. After two years of usage, suddenly it stopped cooling and I had to get support. In that instance, their servicemen came and repaired it. But in another year from then, the same incident happened. This time, the icemaker stopped making ice as well. Once again, I got help from LG and their technician came and fixed everything again.
I would have given a 4 rating for these, but still gave 5 because of the way LG handled the whole thing. I was out of warranty during the second visit - but LG covered it all. I had my compressor changed during the first time, and something else (can't remember which one) changed during the second time - and both were taken care of by LG - thanks to them. They deserve a good rating.
See, bottom line is, when you are purchasing a household appliance of this kind, you need to see the features and reviews - correct. But what I consider the most important thing is the customer service you receive after the sale happens. And that's where I am really happy with my investment in LG.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings, Performance, Quality

Light and bright - Easy access

When it first arrived, I would catch my husband standing in front with both doors wide open just smiling!!! I’m not sure why it seems to run constantly...that’s puzzling.

Need better engineering!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Through the years I have had problems with this refrigerator due to seemingly simple design improvements that should have been discovered with extensive testing. There are freezing issues with the fan due to the condenser icing up and eventually causing the fan that supplies cooling from the freezer to the refrigerator to stop. Needs a more robust thawing element at the fan location.

Satisfied with performance

I’ve had no problems and really like the ice/water feature in the door. The size and style of the drink ice cubes is what sold me. If I ever need a new fridge I’ll look at LG first!
