Too many cooling issues!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this refrigerator approximately 5 years ago. Approximately at the end of the 1st year, cooling issues started (both refrigerator and freezes). The coils has been replaced twice, the compressor 3 times, the fan next to the coils once, and the motherboard once. I also had ice buildup by the ice maker door. We never used or connected the ice maker to the water line, so we are not sure if it works! We love the look of the refrigerator, but the headaches associated with the refrigerator are not worth it.

Beware: Compressor lasted only 5 years

We liked our LG refrigerator until year 5 when the compressor went out. Luckily, it was covered by LG's warranty but it took 3 weeks to get a new compressor installed. I will never buy another LG appliance again.

Beautiful with Handy Features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased our counter depth LG refrigerator 2 years ago. I chose the beautiful black stainless steel. The features on this refrigerator turned out to be more useful and handy than I thought they could be. I especially enjoy the large drawer because I put all the things we regularly use in there, and it’s all so easy to see and access. There’s only my husband and I, so the loss of space due to counter depth size is rarely noticed and we have an overflow fridge in our garage when we have extra food and drinks. I like the French doors and the bottom freezer more than the fridge we previously had with freezer all on one side.
The reason for only 3 stars is because the compressor went out after only 22 months. It turned out the compressor has failed on many of these refrigerators, so it was replaced with no charge. Good thing we have an extra refrigerator because it took a month by the time it was replaced.

I've had this refrigerator for over 2 yrs and it completely failed. It stopped cooling, freezing and making ice. All food was spoiled. The repair was done about 10 days after the failure. We were told by the customer service to get a mini fridge and we would be reimbursed for that. I sent the copy of receipt but we still didn't get the money for it.
one of the tray in the freezer is cracked. One of the trays on the door keeps falling out. This is not a good product
