The salesmen recommended them over rubber saying they would last longer so I went with it even though they were twice the price. I figure they will hold up much better in the long run over rubber but only time will tell. They look nicer than the rubber ones I used to have.

I've always used stainless steel hoses since I have cats and they flooded my house with the rubber/plastic hoses. They work great and I never have to worry about getting a leak. I didn't like the price as I thought they were a little high but when I discussed it with the Asst. Manager he was willing to give a discount since I bought the set of washer and dryer as well as the extra warranty. I've always found that Best Buy is usually accomodating on a price if it's possible.

These were recommended by the Best Buy staff over them cheaper ones, which I believe were made of plastic. As far as I can tell, these hoses work well. With the washer that I have, you can't tell the water temperature..so I just assume that all is well.
