The first subject I tried the Hoover was on my recliner. This chair was filthy and had not been cleaned in about three years. Gross..

This machine with its rotator brush cleaned this chair in a way that it gleamed. My chair looked brand new again. It was beautiful, I was happy.

My carpets also got a nice clean. Can't wait to do a really deep clean. I have parrot who can give any carpet a challenge. I'm sure this machine will stand up to it.

What's great about it: Rotator brush

Easy does it!

I received this Carpet cleaner as a Christmas present (I picked it out!!) I will admit this is the first one I've ever owned but I LOVE IT. It was very easy to put together and even easier to use. My apartment is mostly carpet and of a light color. I have 6 grandchildren so I needed a carpet cleaner. The fact that it has attachements that I can use on my upholstery is just one more plus!

What's great about it: Easy to use and works well

What's not so great: Doesn't run by itself

I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this steam cleaner

I had a previous hoover that I spent very little money on and it showed. This one is great for the money and does a great job. I have a dog that is older and has accidents and two cats. This steam cleaner makes having pets more enjoyable because there is no need to fret - it can be taken care of in a couple of swipes.

What's great about it: Great suction, power and leaves carpet clean and almost dry

What's not so great: It's a bit bulky so I have to find somewhere to store it where it's not in the way

Our carpets are 7 years old and have been cleaned many times. This cleaner did such a good job, the carpets look almost like new. Has the power and the rotating heads make the difference. This cleaner removed stains that past cleanings did not. We are very pleased. Over the years, we have found Hoover products are the best.

What's great about it: Cleaned our carpets better than professional

What's not so great: I'll tell you when I find something not so great about it!

The unit performs as advertised. We purchased based on it being rate a Consumer Best Buy. We are happy with it's performance so far, as long as it continues to operate with no issues it will be an excellent purchase.

Not the quality machine I thought I was buying

I'm pretty resourceful about researching products before I purchase them. So when I was looking for a carpet cleaner to replace my previous Hoover that had served me well for almost 10 years, I was looking for another Hoover. After reading thru a number of reviews for both Hoover and other brands, I chose this model as it received excellent reviews. During the first few uses, my opinion would have been the same as the reviews I had read. However, less than two months after purchasing this carpet cleaner - it was already beginning to fall apart. One of the spinning scrub brushes in the main cleaning portion of the cleaner has fallen out. When I tried to replace it, I found that it must have been working it's way loose as the housing where it sits is chewed up and the brush will not stay in the housing. This is going back to the store.

What's not so great: Started to fall apart after less than two months.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this 12/31/07 to get up pet stains....it worked GREAT! It cleaned it like it never happened. I am VERY pleased with it and would highly recommend this steam cleaner to anyone. I only used the cleaning solution that came with it (no spot cleaner) and it still performed as I had hoped it would. If you need a basic steam cleaner, I recommend this one.

What's great about it: Lightweight, easy to use, did a GREAT job

What's not so great: Not a very large water container

I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Purchase Ever

I have 2 long hair dogs, and all other cleaners eat up belts and the brushes get so tangled up with dog hair. This product has rotary brushes that I can detach easily and don't get tangled with hair, plus there's no belt to burn out! It's so easy to use, and takes out old spots easily. I was amazed at how effortless it was, and what a good job it did. I actually enjoyed cleaning!! It's easy to clean after use, and didn't leak a drop. I'm thrilled with it.

What's great about it: No belt, detachable circular brushes

What's not so great: none

I would recommend this to a friend!
