The most outstanding washer I have ever owned!

I bought this washer in May and I have been totally blown away with how well the washer cleans my clothes within a much shorter wash cycle( turbo wash) than my last front loading machine. The machine is quiet in operation even during the spin cycle. The steam feature with the Allergiene cycle is absolutely great for sheets. I was also impressed with the gentle cleaning of the delicate cycle. The options of changing settings( water temperature, spin speed, etc) within a wash cycle is also another great feature of this washer. The music that ends the cycle is also very cool and I can usually hear it from the far end of my home. In conclusion, I have no regrets and would buy this washer again without hesitation.
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance
I would recommend this to a friend!

♥ LOVE MY NEW WASHER ♥

Finally, the days of having my towel shredded are over! All my towels had picked threads from my old washer. My old machine also left soap residue on dark colors and large items such as sheets and sounded like a jet. I purchased all new towels and they come out great. No more soap residue either. Before making the purchase I researched and found this model was rated tops and I can see why; easy to use, quiet, efficient, good looking and has a ton of special cycles and options for customizing a cycle. I have not used the allergen cycle yet, but plan to when washing mattress & pillow covers.

Huge capacity...quiet wash cycle...Awesome design

Recently moved to a new house and bought the washer and dryer combo from Frys on a sale. I've had it only for 6 weeks so it will be limited but here are pros and cons,
Pros
1) Beautiful and functional design - I have the graphite steel one and it is just beautiful. The dials and buttons are very intuitive and work as they should. Just wish I didn't have to stack them.(new homes in Silicon Valley folks...you don't get much space)
2) Wash cycle - I've only run whites and colors but it comes out clean all the time. I know that these machines are very efficient...sometimes I wonder how much or little water it uses. Nonetheless, both cycles are super quiet and seems efficient.
3) Spacious - It has a huge tub(drum) with LED lighting that shines the inside. I've washed couple of blanks together without any issues.
4) Quiet - As mentioned in #2 above...sometimes you check the machine just to make sure that it is running. I think the loudest part is when water is filling the tub and that's not loud.
Cons:
Nothing as of yet.
I will update again after a year.
Hopefully, I will get to use more features the machine offers.
This is by far the best washer I've ever owned and I would strongly recommend it to my friends and family.

VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS WASHER!!!

I started off with my first front loader about 3 weeks ago. I did not like the way it washed, felt it was not enough water, etc., etc. On the phone multiple times with LG trying to figure out what was wrong. Technician was sent and still nothing but problems. I figured I must have just received a Lemon but I know overall LG is a good brand and their customer service was EXCELLENT. A live person answered quickly and they were very knowledgeable. Because I was so happy with the LG customer service, I decided to go with a little more expensive model, which is this 4270 model with the TurboWash. I am so happy that I stayed with LG. This washer really seems to be doing a great job
washing the clothes, and uses plenty of water to get the job done. I put most loads on the heavy/bulky setting, soiled level of high to get the most water, and TurboWash option. In 1 hour the clothes are cleaned and the water level goes all the way up to the bottom of the circle opening. I love this washer. It does make some noise when the water is filling into the drum, and the installer says that noise is mainly with LG. Like a whistling or sounds like a jet taking off. After that it is very quiet. I have read hundreds of reviews on so many different models, and so many people not happy with the front loaders due to low water level. This washer does such a great job at washing, and at a fast speed with the TurboWash, that a little noise hearing the water coming into the drum when filling is no big deal at all to get a washer that I am extremely happy with. I have told everyone I know about this great washer and dryer set.

Worth the wait

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this washer with the Sidekick in December and it was finally delivered in February. I have owned a number of LG washing machines and this one is the best. It is amazing how clean the clothes get and the capacity is awesome. I only wish I had enough money for the dryer. Taking clothes out of this beauty and putting them in my old dryer is not exciting. Although when you spin the clothes on high speed they are almost dry when you take them out. The only complaint that I have is about it not interfacing with the IOS platform. What is up with that. Hopefully they will get their act together and get the software updated so that iPhone users can use all of options.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set it was straightforward, although this is a heavy washer (250 lbs). Did four loads with excellent results. Very pleased with this washer.

3 ISSUES

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this machine for about 1 month and I noticed that there is a loud bang coming from the pipes when the machine is filling with water, there is as an occasional problem getting the spin cycle to complete and there is water dripping from the orange spout above the door for about an hour after the wash is completed. I'm not certain if the banging noise is the machine's fault since I had new plumbing put in and that may be the cause. When the machine seems to be struggling to balance the load for a while I pause the machine and manually move the clothing around. That usually works but once I had to remove a towel to get the rest of the wash to spin and then put the towel back and put on the drain and spin cycle to finish spinning out the towel. I let the machine try to work it out for about 4-5 minutes and don't wait for the unbalanced load error to go on. Basically I would not start a load and leave. Not a problem for me since I don't leave appliances on when I'm not home anyway. Note that I prefer the machine not to spin out of balance and cause possible damage and accept the fact it may need occasion manual intervention to get the clothes balanced, as long as it is occasional. Water slowly drips out of the orange spout after the clothes are removed. I put a plastic cup on the bottom of the door opening to catch the water. It stops dripping after about an hour with about 3/4 inch of water in the cup. Not enough to start a flood but annoying. I can live with that but I hope it doesn't get progressively worse over time. The machine has a nice selection of cycles and many options. The various cycles require different amounts of time to complete. The machine shows the time that remains until completion. I was required to buy an Energy Star rated machine and this one is. I would rate it a 5 if not for those 3 issues.
