Very Disappointed!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is just over a year since I brought my dryer and it has stopped working!! I now need to spend a fortune on repair since it is no longer under warranty! My previous dryer was more than 12 years old and it had absolutely no problems. But I still decided to upgrade to an LG since it had fancy features and looked really good. However, it I am really disappointed that it has failed in just over a year! I regret buying an LG!

Great when it works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it works it's great but after one load it starts to get temperamental. It finishes drying cycles after only a minute or two when the clothes are still wet. I have watched my wife battle with it for whole evenings just trying to get it to actually finish a load or even dry for more than a few minutes.

We bought the matching washer and dryer set. Both clean and dry ok. I like the multiple settings on the washer... BUT, the washer door has leaked water and the dryer door has leaked lint from day 1! The gasket inside the washer has stained with mildew (and, yes, I keep the door open except when in use) and the corner of the dryer lint filter was ruined by a bra strap getting caught and twisted around it! We like our LG fridge, dishwasher and stove, but not the washer and dryer!
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This thing has a big drum and holds alot of cloths, dry's them fast too. Like the music it makes after its done

We love our new washer and dryer. We were having problems with clothes getting clean and our old washer was leaving soap still in the clothes. It is so nice to have problem solved and clothes coming out clean. Would definitely recommend this washer.

model 4270 will not dry socks

Anyone else having this same problem? on all automatic cycles, even setting it to the dryest setting, 6 pairs of socks are left quite damp. Only way i can get them dry is to use a manual setting. apparently the problem is the small amount of clothing, because towels, etc do fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lint trap keeps tearing my clothes. It even ripped a very expensive blouse of my wife. it dries okay, but I do see several issues with the lint trap not fitting correctly.
