Easy to use features

Had the washer several months, fantastic! A revelation everything comes out clean compared to our old top loader. Never thought our whites would get white again.
We have two small kids it keeps up with the demand. Faultless.

My old washer was 22 years old bought back in the day when appliances were built to last. I did my research and shopped around. I was nervous I wouldn't like the front loading machine but I love this washer! It's like a mini spaceship with it's lights and sounds. I felt I always had to do two loads of laundry because my old washer was a suds saver. I'm so relieved not to have that pressure! Be honest with yourself ... you're not going to use all those different settings on the higher priced models. Most of the time I only use the cotton/normal or perma press cycles. I do like the towel setting too. I tried the allergiene cycle once for sheets and that's where you get into a 75 minute wash cycle. I won't be using that too often. Bottom line, I think this is an excellent washer at an excellent price.

Quiet and Efficient

Extremely energy and water efficient, did a lot of research before buying this washer. I've had it for about 2 months and I do not regret this purchase.

This machine replaced a ten year old Whirlpool HE front loader. The old machine was very good, but just wore out. I didn't think it could really be improved on, but this machine is actually better. It seems to use even less water and definitely uses less soap. Work out clothes are coming out smelling very clean. And dress clothes are less wrinkled. Also, in every washer I have owned I have had trouble with my husband's French cuff dress shirts tying up everything in the washer into a big knot. There is something about that longer sleeve... But this washer spins clothes differently. I have no trouble washing those shirts anymore. And the huge capacity is fantastic. The only problem I have encountered is with load balancing with my super heavy bath mats. The machine has trouble balancing just one mat, and all three mats are too heavy. My last washer handled just one mat fine. It is a minor complaint. I think it is caused by the same feature that keeps the shirts from tying in a knot. I also love that it has a removable filter to clean. My last washer sent all the lint down the drain. The last time I bought new towels I also bought a new rooter machine for the drain. I won't miss using that thing! I also love the magnet that props the door slightly open. My last unit didn't have that and the door would fall open constantly. Our laundry room is narrow and we walk through it on the way from the kitchen to the garage. This door is never in the way. I wipe the seal on the door dry and wipe out the soap dispenser drawer when I am done doing laundry for the day and I leave both wide open for the night. In the morning I close it almost all the way. With the last front loader I used a rubber safe mildewcide on gasket about once a year. I have never had a mold or mildew problem.

Why is Power Button Accessible with Child Lock On?

Overall pretty decent washer. Loud when the machine is pulling in water, had to use the sioux chief hammer arrestors ans theg help...some. Can get off balance without too much strain. Tried washing pillows and that was a terrible idea. And here is the kicker...when child lock is engaged, the power button is still operational!!! My 1yo turned off the machine mid cycle ans you lose the cycle, there is no recovery! So you have to start all over again. Child lock feature, horrible execution. Another room off limits to the kids.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Control Board failed after 2 years

I never had a washer that performed as well as this one does in every aspect. This is a great washer. I love all the features it has. My clothes dry now in half the time. I can almost take them from the washer to the closet, well almost. I did a lot of research on washers of all kinds, and this was the all around best for the price and quality. I would very highly recommend this washer to family and friends. Can't say enough good things about it. Thank you LG for a wonderful front loader. I love it
