Great washer, but when it falls it falls hard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the LG Ultra Capacity almost seven years ago. It is loaded with features and options like gentle wash for the babies things and sanitize for hospital scrubs. It spins so fast there is very little moisture left for the dryer. But is drum is now just a little out of round and so when it spins it shakes to whole house. The cost of the repair is almost as much as a new washer. Is this planned obsolescence by LG?
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mold, 2 major issues within 5 years

Prevalent mold behind the gasket, despite living in the Mojave Desert, always leaving the door open, and almost always fully removing the detergent tray between uses. Cleaning products like Affresh are useless on it. First major repair around 18 mos when drain hose developed a hole and was leaking water on the floor -- how does a drain hose just develop a hole like that??? Has made metal clinking sounds for a long time that technician can't resolve, but doesn't affect performance. Last week the water inlet valve stuck open. I will be without a washer for 3 weeks before it is possibly repaired. I can't believe LG front loaders are some of the highest rated reliability on the market. My sample size of one disagrees!
