Dryer vent catches clothes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this dryer but the dryer vent and housing is of poor design. The lint tray does not go in flush and clothes catch on the corner. I had the dryer vent housing and lint tray replaced under warranty and it is happening again. Since out of warranty I have to pay someone to look at it it or buy another housing unit and lint tray. For as much as we paid for the dryer, you would think LG would redesign the vent and lint holder to not ruin clothes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

2 years and just found a snag

We bought this dryer 2017 and love it for the quietness and efficiency. It has just been the past couple of weeks that we have had a problem. We all clean out the lint screen every time we use the dryer but apparently lint will still builds below the filter and it has caused the filter to not sit all the way in place by 3/32 of an inch. When this happens, the filter on the right side as you are facing the dryer can pop up and catch and twist your clothes around - actually rips holes into clothing etc. If you have sheets it can actually bend the corner up as ours did. A replacement filter is on order now. In looking thru the reviews, apparently this is a problem that does occur for this design. Hopefully LG will realize that there is a bit of a design flaw as, if you are doing everything that you are supposed to do with this dryer a problem like this should not occur.

Struggling to get my LG dryer to work right

I have had the dryer for over a month. My daughter's permanent press medical scrubs are permanent press. I can not get them to come out without serious wrinkles. I have read the instructions but they are little help beyond describing what the buttons.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had an LG similar we sold with our California home. Replaced with this front loader washer and steam dryer. We wanted the pedestals to reduce bending due to our advancing age. Storage was not a need for us but will be a plus for others. Both units are very quiet inside the laundry room. We now leave the laundry door open allowing climate control for the house to be more efficient keeping us comfortable. Our washer goes into a septic tank that could cause an issue when we have guests. This unit definately cuts that risk. Clothes are cleaner using less water and detergent. Electric dryer is quieter exhausting outside near the patio where we spend a lot of time all four seasons. Did not think we would use the steam feature. Now finding more things we can clean, sanitize or freshen at home with that feature. Drys better and faster than other units we have owned. The controls are easy to learn and use on both washer and dryer. The rack for the dryer is easy to take out and put back. IT is very sturdy and a good size. Lint filter easy to clean.

still in love with my laundry!!

I never had a dryer that the permanent press clothes comes like you have just ironed them! This machine is a dream. Thank you LG for creation a machine that will let me clean almost everything in my house. The steam cycle is amazing. I think I could do my dry cleaning with it. The towels get dried so fast I have to wait on the washer to get done now. I am living on cloud 9!!

Perfectly dry every time

We purchased this dryer along with the matching washer and we are very happy we did. This dryer uses the perfect drying temperature and time every time. It is easy to use and you can even customize your cycles. It minimizes wrinkles and can be set to periodically tumble your clothes when the drying cycle has completed.

I could not express how much I love this dryer! the only issue I have had was not the dryers fault but my house. I had to clean the exhaust vent system because it had not been done for 20 years to my knowledge. After that my drying time was cut in half. This dryer even drys my California King bed comforter in less than an hour!

Great Dry Sensor

This one does a great job with the automatic dry sensing that it does, the older LG that I had was no where close to this, also the steam feature is nice as well
